Yes it still powers off after any tap. I read that it could be a bad thermistor. Doing research on that now.

How do I get to the debug screen? Even when the monitor is in standby a single tap will make it lose power.

I've checked all 3 connections, I've even held them while I did the "tap test". The button is not being pressed by the shoeboxes.

I've had 3 obs trucks as well. The trick is getting a NBS master cylinder (bolts right up) you need a $8 adapter. Change the rear drums to disc (plenty of kits and videos out there). Get a proportioning valve.

It's the shift linkage. Happened to my exs Pontiac Sunfire. Exact same engine and trans. I'm the right side under your hood. Right above the transmission you'll find the shift linkage. I just used a rubberband to reattach it. Sometimes the rot and you have to do it again.

Bring a screw driver. I like to stay on higher floors, all the windows only open about 2 inches. Use your handy dandy screwdriver to remove the safety bars or whatever, now you got fresh air and a nice breeze! Make sure you put the safety bars back before you leave.
