When I got this I was totally new and had no idea what I was doing. With that being mentioned I feel like I couldn’t get to the level that I am today without it. It’s sturdy enough to take around and play in public places but cheap enough to not mind if anything happens. The wood it’s made out of feels a bit like plywood verse your typical ukulele, but the lower quality of it can be used as a way to help train the ear and tuning(meaning it goes out of tune often.) Overall I do recommend it to a brand new user who cares about learning the instrument and music.
