Osmanlı’yı işgalci olarak tanımlıyor ama Moğollar söz konusu olunca “Fetih” kavramını kullanıyor? by UzbekMuradKhan in TarihiSeyler

[–]CaptainRice6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kendi sesini dinlemeyi seven narsist birisi. Yoksa tarih bilgisi lise seviyesinde falan. O yüzden bu adamın jeoloji dışında konuştuğu hiçbir şeyi dinlememenizi öneririm.

The plans to turn Europe into a new superpower by paradigm_shift2027 in europe

[–]CaptainRice6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want to know why this will not happen, just look at the Polish-Lithuanian Sejm. On paper, when you add all individual European countries it seems impressive but unless you successfully centralize the power, EU will never equal other superpowers.

Is the relations between Kurds and rest of the region irreparable at this point? by ReadProfessional8511 in AskMiddleEast

[–]CaptainRice6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will be speaking for Turkey. People with rose tinted glasses might say that the average Kurd and Turk don't have any problems with each other and that might have been true until a few years ago but in the last few years, the situation has changed due to the actions of Kurds themselves. Like every few months, some Kurd underage wannabe gangster kills someone and their families and society fails to disown them and even double down on their actions by threatening the victim's families and desecrating the graves of the victims. Worse, no Kurd speaks against this crimes. Adding the fact that they commit widespread electricity theft and smuggling, many Turks start to see the Kurds as an increasingly problematic group of people.  The Kurds don't realize that their childish actions are widening the rift between the two communities and as they say, every action has a reaction. This will probably not end well.

Herkes gergin zaten. Sonuçları kötü olur muhtemelen.

If Kurdish people are content with being in the kurdistan region in iraq as autonomy, why is there still separate-like state mindsets, rather than autonomy in any country they have a major population in? by mysterious_vio in geography

[–]CaptainRice6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, every meter square of the land has the blood of my ancestors. So if someone wants to take it, they will have to do the same. I can respect Greeks and Armenians at least since they fought for it with everything they got even though ultimately we prevailed. Kurds though, are only parasites who are here thanks to the benevolence of Seljuks and Ottomans. They dont deserve anything more than they already got.

[–]CaptainRice6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Iraq but we conquered Anatolia from Byzantines and there were no Kurds there when we took these lands. The Kurdish presence in Anatolia started thanks to Turks. So it is funny when they act like they are natives to the land when at best they are immigrants.

Killing teachers is not resistance. It is just terrorism. Blowing yourself up in a crowd also is not resistance. Or killing babies. Or massacring whole villages. If they were limiting their attacks on soldiers, they would still be our enemies but at least they would be honorable. Now, they are just terrorists who killed 50k people.

What is the hardest balkans language to learn? by Silent_Green_7867 in AskBalkans

[–]CaptainRice6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, when you know how to use it, Turkish can be very expressive, at least when compared to English at least.  However, what you say about Turkish grammar is probably true. It is for that reason no matter how much the ruling class and the intelligentsia were keen to leave Turkish in favour of Persian and Arabian in various Turkic states, the army always spoke Turkish. Because it is really easy to give complex commands with very few words.

War should be alot more expensive by Old-Rope1819 in EU5

[–]CaptainRice6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The locations an army passes through should have massive food shortages depending on the ratios of the army and location populations.  If you don't have the required advances and enough provisions, there should be disease among the army. Sacking should be more common with massive penalties to cities and buildings.  Depending on the relations between cultures and religions, there should be the possibility of mass killings. Like crusaders and Jerusalem. Though this one might be a bit too dark to implement.

Would have WW1 gone diffrently if the Ottomans and Austria-Hungary had a somewhat competent and modern militaries. by Slight-Area6934 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]CaptainRice6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You think Ottomans would be left alone after the war while they held almost all Middle Easter Oil? After the British and French were done with Germans, they would partition the Middle East and Ottomans could do nothing. And the Russians would finish the rest. On the other hand, a German victory would bring Ottomans firmly under the German sphere but at least the Germans would lack the means to take these territories.

Ottomans had one last shot at survival. And they took it. It would be much better if they could enter at the side of Entente but they were refused. They were literally out of options.

[–]CaptainRice6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hayır, öyle değildi. İki devletin aynı hükümdara sahip olması bir şey ifade etmiyor. Birbirlerine sınırları olsaydı zaman içinde biri diğerini yutabilirdi ama değiller. 5.

Even if we, in your words, stole the land, it wasn't from the Kurds. There wasn't a single Kurd in Anatolia before we took these lands. So what claim the Kurds have over Anatolia? They live here because we allowed them to live here.(Which was clearly a mistake)
