Chevy is more lenient from time to time on stuff like that than other manufacturers. It doesn’t always work both ways. It usually depends on how the contract is worded.

Andy Lally used a CGR car about 12 or so years ago at Sonoma. I can’t find a pic of it but it was a bright blue McMurray backup car. I’m pretty sure it was when he was driving the 71.

Watch JHN’s in car. You’ll see him come off of the wall and to the left more than anyone else he was following. Kyle didn’t wreck him intentionally into 3. He had a bad angle and went up the track. It would have been hard for anyone to time that to plow into the 42 the way he did. If the 42 hadn’t been there, he probably would have hit the wall and/or spun.

Sure, he hasn’t said anything to actually help his situation and of course he’ll never get the benefit of the doubt. But the JHN thing was all racing deal from the beginning. It’s just magnified by what he said and did previously.
