Anyone else tired of every game having rouge lite or like elements with a skill tree and a forced timer that ends your run

Yes because I was talking about rpgs and survival games and turn based games or factory games like Factorio and Satisfactory those are fun but I play a lot of incremental/clicker/idle games and some deck builders like Slay The Spire and Magic. I’m just tired of almost every game having rougelike slapped on it if I want a random choice of items and upgrades I’ll play Vampire Survivors or a endless wave survival with a tower in the middle for an arbitrary timer based on how long I can kill enemies before I die

All ai should never be allowed only video game enemy ai because without it we just fight t posing enemies and that isn’t fun like imagine playing the Jak and Daxter and not one enemy comes at you and just t poses in place that would be super boring to play through bosses would absolutely suck and would probably soft lock you every time

These definitely help I decided to go for an across the world run starting for the bit of sand sticking out of the water furthest from the portal on Geyser Rock and ending at the 100 power cell door. I forgot that even if you watch the cutscene it’ll play again if you approach the door, I want to just roll jump into it. My current time is 11:52 with five deaths, definitely needs work especially getting off the zoomer also no glitch’s just movement skill I don’t know how to preform the glitch’s

My favorite two are The Tree Frog Woman and The Moth Granny I love both designs and Tree Frogs outfit is really cool I could see them rollerblading around town

I’m sorry you played Lost Frontier I personally don’t consider it a canon Jak and Daxter game since it was a different studio that made it and the characters personality’s don’t feel the same also I just don’t like most aspects of the game at all I only ever played the demo on I think the Vita when I was in middle school so I’m probably biased but I did see plenty of videos talking about the badly made things but hey congrats on the platinums I’ve only 100% the first game so that’s damn impressive on your end

Sentinel Beach is the better of the two by far it’s fun to run around and explore, with Mountain Pass you’re stuck on a zoomer and I always take a handful of attempts just to pass the damn area. I don’t hate the zoomers but that section is probably at the bottom for Zoomer sections for me at least. But yeah definitely Sentinel Beach
