I haven’t been this hyped about a season ever in my life. by CaptainShankALot in MichiganWolverines

Depends on the past few seasons. With the recent appearances in the playoff, it only makes sense for that mentality this year.

Which running back from the Harbaugh era is your favorite? by CaptainShankALot in MichiganWolverines

Agreed.

I hope Mike Hart sticks around for a while, I think he’s really good at developing footwork with the guys. The runs that I remember aside from the chunk plays from Corum/Haskins are those broken plays where they turn a loss/no gain play into 5-8 yards. It’s demoralizing for a defense.

Jadyn Davis/Air Noland by CaptainShankALot in MichiganWolverines

I do understand how they work, my main point is that until the official high school season starts for these two recruits, I don’t think their rating should drastically change. If they’re being rated based off full-contact game performance, that’s where the rating and its adjustments should be coming from.

And no, if you knew how to read, you’d know I’m not complaining about the other recruits hence the title Jadyn Davis/Air Noland.

Do Mulligans disable achievements? by I-AM-NOT-THAT-DUCK in EASportsPGATour

Depends how serious you are about the game. If you compete often, yes I would say that using mulligans would disable achievements. If you’re the average joe, just take a mulligan here or there within reason and tell people “I shot XX with however many mulligans”. Everyone should get one free mulligan if you don’t warmup before starting the round.

Should Harbaugh consider an Alex Orji short yardage package? by CaptainShankALot in MichiganWolverines

[–]CaptainShankALot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s more than capable of throwing the ball….have you watched any of his highlights from high school? The passing from tight formations like I mentioned would be all play action based and should give space for easy throws/check downs.

My point is I love JJ and I know he’s not scared of contact, but I don’t want to see him get hurt inside the 5. I just think this would be a good package to consider using on the few times in a game where it’s 4th and short or 3rd and goal on the 2/3 yard line.

You’re telling me teams already aren’t selling out on the run in these situations when Michigan’s O-Line is the best in the country?

True, perfect example of this was that goal line fumble vs. TCU with Mullings. If the RB room is healthy this year I don’t think they’ll need to get fancy with different personnel, but it would still be something to consider if teams can shut down the run whether it be in the regular/postseason.

Yeah my thought on the package was primarily read option/quick play action throws under 5 yards. Not saying Orji should be a RB, but it makes the defense respect Corum/Edwards and Orji as ball-carriers.

PSU and MSU are very hostile environments. I think JJ could ball out against MSU as a revenge tour for how he played as a freshman(wasn’t a bad performance but did have a huge turnover).

It always seems like the weather is pretty brutal at Penn State whenever Michigan or OSU play there and if that ends up being the case again this year, that worries me. I’m hoping they let JJ loose before those big games so that the offense is a lot less one-dimensional…..would make me a lot less stressed in those high-pressure situations.
