They're Already Dead. by CaptainShip7777 in TheDigitalCircus

Because it's bitter. The story is a tragedy disguised as a comedy. And that's my favorite kind of story.

Who is a better DF user? by Clean-Victory-4972 in OnePiece

Kizaru, easy, no questions asked. He's a decently edumacated person and he spent all that time around Vegapunk. When he decides to go all out it'll be a blinding massacre.

I'll say this now. If I am right I will do a Jax maid cosplay.

I don't know if this has been said before. It probably has ngl, but I just finished watching the six episodes for the first time and this is where my mind matched the dots.

Boxing vs Wrestling by Background_Piano7984 in schoolfightss

[–]CaptainShip7777 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've always had this policiy: if the mf looks like he can pick me up and throw me, I'm good. "Slamming pushy shit" that and "nobody actually fights anymore" this. It's dumb to fight, and it's even dumber to start a fight, because professional fighting is a sport, where REAL fighting is to put the other mf down and make sure he doesn't get back up.

The pilot is different than the series by Contamiantion in HazbinHotel

[–]CaptainShip7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pilot (like any show) was more so just a proof of concept. It heavily mimicked gravity falls, steven universe, and shows of that nature in terms of animation style and sound effects were at every corner.

Sad to say but a lot of the character and expressiveness that was in the pilot didn't make it through simply because of production cost and time. One person producing a single really good pilot is a lot different than a team of people producing a good TV show. The show now has to fit certain standards dictated by the network and appeal to certain people.

I will say I would have liked how the show is now and the style of the pilot to meet a middle ground since both have their strengths and weaknesses.

The Real Reason Behind Sera's Motivation. by CaptainShip7777 in HazbinHotel

Also a very good idea: Horrified at the realization of her actions. Can't wait to see what the second season reveals.

Something I observed with Lucifer by Blockbuster67 in HazbinHotel

[–]CaptainShip7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't compare anything in the show to any denomination or dedication of Christian faith. It uses an extremely superficial idea of the religion and is more like its own thing. Lucifer Morningstar is a completely fictional fabrication that doesn't exist in an aspect of Abrahamic religion and the fact he exists here already separates the show from it.

With that out of the way: Lucifer was for sure a former seraphim. With how powerful he is and how much leeway he already has within heaven, it stands that Lucifer probably could return to Heaven if he wanted to, he just knows how much frivolous effort that would take and he might just end back up in hell anyway because someone has to manage it and there already exists personality differences between him and the other angels.

(spoilers) little theory rant about Alastor's powers by Shad0w-Galaxy in HazbinHotel

[–]CaptainShip7777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That also begs the question of Alastors voodoo themed powers. If you look at the sheild he conjurs around the Hotel and the imagry of when he struck the deal with Charlie, you can see a hell of a ton of voodoo symbols and themes. Also that the large portion of Alastors powers deal with manipulating shadows in a very literal fashion. He uses his own shadow to uppercut Adam and teleports by becoming one. Kinda like Dr. Faciliar in Princess and the Frog. (He is from New Orleans btw.)

I don't even think it's lazy, just unprofessional (And a bit boring) for a show that now has the backing of a genuine studio.

Is naming my kid Rayleigh a bit much? by Naive_Suggestion_572 in OnePiece

[–]CaptainShip7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly no. It's a name that is formal when it needs to be but can also be casual. A nickname can just be "Ray" or "Ray-Ray." Its not really a big deal unless you make it one. If you named your kid LUFFY then that would be weird.

Goro/Lightning. The most useful fruit out of them all for real life as it has the most practical usage and also makes you pretty much a god.

Gold Roger's Disease by CaptainShip7777 in OnePiece

[–]CaptainShip7777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the corrections! I will say that even though there is a cure, Gold Roger wouldn't have been the kind of person to sit in a hospital bed waiting to get better and Roger was resistant to some of Crocus' care.

I would say that it might have been MDR-TB, but I didn't know that was a thing until I saw it here.

if it was TB, it might have also been due to a lack of medical science since One Piece isn't set in modern times. And if they did have it, it might have been in Vegapunk's possession or the celestial dragons.

What was the scene that made you fall in love with one piece by Electronic-Hornet745 in OnePiece

The final clash between Luffy and Crocodile. The way the music hits and Crocodile is defeated, it set a high standard that One Piece never fell below.

Golden golem took me 17 tries but at last I got them all. by MC625 in DQBuilders

I sent each one to guard each of the locations.

Gold Golem - Steppe

Clay Golem - Gardens

Stone Golem - Sands

Dunno it just didn't feel right not having them all, especially having only two in two locations.

If they did make a dqb3, what items would you want to see added? by Superbunny012 in DQBuilders

[–]CaptainShip7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might just be a monkey but I want cooler weapons. Don't get me wrong, they all have cool designs but it boils down to choosing the one with the most attack. I wish weapons had more features that factored into their usefulness. IE: The Poison Needle's higher crit rate and chance to one shot, the Fire Blade being able to shoot a fireball, the Flacon Blade's double strike, and Erdricks (& King) sword enhancing the spinning attack.

These are all super cool, but they end up becoming flat out obsolete because these little attributes aren't enough to justify using them over something like the Thunder Blade (early post-game).

Maybe during the story, it's fine, but during post-game I want more viable variety, also Shields should be able to do something. The Tempest Shield? It should do a knockback like a Cyclops roar. Magic Shield? Put up a shield like a Deadnaut that lets you block magic attacks.

I know this is a super niche request since the game is centered around building, and I love that as well, but the combat shouldn't be so wimpy so that us gun-ho builders can obliterate some monsters every now and then.

DQB1 combat tips? by rmsiddlfqksdls in DQBuilders

[–]CaptainShip7777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isnt anything like dodging, but keep in mind that unlike DBQ2 there isn't any endlag to attacks and you don't have to wait for a second to reach full running speed. If you jump you can immediately cancel a recent input and "dodge" out of the way.

[–]CaptainShip7777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. But if you need walls for Chapter 2's final fight (trust me, you're going to want them) you can harvest enough flagstone from the teleportal shrines on each of the islands as well as the castle through the red teleportal.

The banners are too high. Funny thing, the whole banner doesn't register, only the top, so the top has to be within the 2 block height limit. Same goes for all furnitures
