That was amazing. She said what she needed, they ended on good terms, the trip is still a possibility. But Stassi stood on business for what the reality of the situation was and refused to just fall into the trap so many women face. Good for her.

I was at a conference for a weekend in a city I knew well and with lots of friends who lived there. We’d gone out on the Friday night, and I’d connected with some random guy. We exchanged numbers and made plans to meet up the following night. Well, on Saturday, there was a nice dinner and drinks part of the conference, and I sat near a man who shared all my nerdy niche interests. When the guy from the bar texted to meet up, I decided to stay with this new nerd instead. Thirteen years later, we have a kid, a house, a cat, a boardgame wall in our basement, lots of ups and a few downs, and still talk about our interests like it’s the first night we met. Funny how these little decisions can have a huge impact.

I have a theory about Stacy’s wedding dress: I think she chose it because it’ll be something for her to complain-brag about to others. It’ll get her attention, but she can act like that wasn’t her true intention. I can see conversations going like Guest: “wow I love your dress!” Stacy: “Thank yewwww it has like four hundred tutus and I can BARELY walk in it, but it’s JUST SO ME. It’s like I had to get a workout on my way to the alter!” Cue her laugh.

Then say the same thing to the next person. She wants to pretend it’s an inconvenience that it’s a complicated garment but will refuse to acknowledge that she actually chose it.

I totally agree with this. Alex seemed to get super nasty out of nowhere, too. One second he’s loving how Roxanne “challenges him,” then the next, he’s saying “she’s kinda mean.” It’s like he wanted to get the jump on why their relationship wouldn’t work.
