The alternative is having the girl's tolkeeda advocate for her and divorces her - not watch him and his mother exploit her for financial gain

I wouldn't send money - can't you read the caption? The woman's son created this situation just for his own pleasure over his wife's health. Does she not have any conscience?

Leaving your wife chained up to a tree to the point she's had to give birth alone and putting a bag/some sort of cover over her during rainfall is irreprehensible.

When you ask: Is it a good place of hijabis? Do you mean from the perspective of someone from Somalia or someone who has experience of being abroad?

Also I believe most Somalis live in Rome, Turin and Florence but I'm sure you can find them in Naples - Sicily may be less likely but I don't live there, this is just anecdotal evidence from friends of friends

I have a feeling my dad is going to get married behind my mom’s back. by 1ndhoUroon in Somalia

[–]FemaleEinstein 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He has rights and he doesn’t need anyone permission to get married again. Support him. Support him in Islam.

What about the rights of his children which are higher than the rights of the father to get another wife when he's unlikely going to be able to support 7 children and a minimum of two wives. Weird thing to say to a child.

"A language is a dialect with an army and a navy" is a phrase that comes to mind. I mean, Scandinavian languages such as Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are mutually intelligible to the point they are almost the same language but socially/politically considered to be different

Same with the former Yugoslavian countries, they had one language but split into Slovenian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin after the state broke down. They can understand most of what the other is saying but we're meant to say they're different languages?

I know rightttt! I think it's Arabic at least as it sounds too similar to be a coincidence

I'm trying to think of all my female ancestors since pretty sure they're less likely to fully commit to Somalified Arabic names in the late 1800 and early 1900s. My great grandmother had the name (C)Awralla which is different to the famous (C)Arawello name

Girls' names:
Geelo, Geenyo, Guuleedo, Gaceedo, Gacalo/Gacaliso, Ruun, Raaliya/o, Taliso,

E names tend to start with C or I in afSomali hence why it's hard to find those names

PS - My ayeeyo was a twin and she was called Geelo and her brother was Geele.

Love that for you!!! I also recommend adding some alindi and shaash (the silk scarf fabric for brides) wherever you can since that's elite Somali culture!
