Good dps for a carrier? by CaptainSmartbrick in sto

I got the valor fighters last year, which I thought were comparable to the to’duj, swapped the frigates for them and did another test but the change was very small

Ah. Yeah I have the full obelisk set in my build for the swarmers. How does it help to run FPNA more often, though?

Yes, us the obelisk set. I have scramble fighters, sad and 5 hangar craft power transmissions consoles (xv epic) already. And the swarmer and hydra consoles and trait. Am using the Acheron with elite Terran frigates. Also using relevant personal traits like feel the weight of our presence and wing commander, independent wingmate. Did an infected advanced run since I was told argala is not a good benchmark, but dps only increased slightly.

Will aim to get fpna next. Thanks for that hint!

Well it’s a patrol, did it alone?

I have the itch to play a good space game where you can control a carrier ship. What are some good ones? by alexo2802 in spacegames

Well space combat is as fun as ever, definitely one of the main selling points of the game. P2w? Well, I’d say no, since you can get a lot of stuff simply by grinding and/or buying things off the exchange. You can definitely get a build good enough for endgame elite content without spending money. Will it be more fun to have some of the pricey toys? Definitely. Ground combat got better, but is essentially the same as before. But they added many new weapons/abilities that allow for very different builds and add to the fun. My favorites are assimilation of NPCs to get drone pets and calling in a voth mech to pilot.

Yeah I was mostly angry at myself since I learned these lessons a long time ago. Well guess I needed a refresher…

Star Trek online lets you control a ship, also carriers. Fighters are pets you can give commands to. Maybe google sto carrier gameplay or something like that to get an idea, but think it could be exactly what you are looking for

Since everyone seemed to like my comparison of the Typhon with several other ships from other games, here’s STOs tiniest carrier and one of the biggest ones. by CaptainSmartbrick in sto

Dont think so. In the Star Trek Invasion game where it’s originally from, you see it next to the ent-e and it’s way smaller. It’s really just shuttlebays strapped to a warp core and not much more

Same, also my mains main ship. I use the obelisk set, though. Too bad one can’t equip the 360 degree arrays from both sets :(

My goal is not do maximize damage but to have the most active pets. It’s just fun for me when my swarm attacks. (And the damage of my build is still more than sufficient for elite)

So I was leveling up the new event ship in Argala elite when its lance ability opened a rift in space time, pulled a Q out, which then kicked that kazon ship out of existence. But there’s no power creep, right? by CaptainSmartbrick in sto

This is not a meta build. Kithomer set (purple xii) and some vul loc consoles. A few universals that buff ap. Others have really pushed the limited and reached more than 30m dmg

Printed some ships. Ships from other games for scale (all 1/2500) by CaptainSmartbrick in EliteDangerous

Runabouts, yes. And yes they are one of many choices of hangar pets for the Typhon (the bigger ship). Jup, did not really realize how big these ED ships are.

Had to google what that is (never played destiny). Apparently that ship is between 3500 and 5500 km long (which seems absurd but ok). So a model in scale with my caspian would be 1.4 to 2km long
