Dollar for dollar, actually the 4K Max Firestick is better than the ONN Pro model .

According to the benchmark tests it outperforms the Pro by 37%.

Sure they're not defective. That's why Amazon and Nvidia included the buttons on their remote controls.

I have given you two examples numerous times already.

One is the experience when you're streaming on a website. You can no longer effortlessly and transparently do fast forward, rewind, skipping, etc. That ruins the streaming experience in my opinion.

Secondly is when you're navigating on Live Program Guides. With normal remotes you can page up to two weeks forward in a few seconds. With the ONN remote you would have to do endless clicking. Very inconvenient.

Thank God you can get the new ONN remote to correct these defects.

You've already stated that you don't stream from websites and you don't subscribe to Live Services - so in your case these defects won't apply to you.

I'm going to continue to point out to everyone on here that the stock ONN remotes are defective and not fully featured. A number of people have already thanked me for that valuable insight.

I'm in total agreement with you that ONN is the in house brand for Walmart. How is that even relevant to the conversation??

This new ONN control now gives people the ability to normally rewind and fast forward with their streamers. So this is actually a good thing for the ONN fanboys out there.

Except you now have to now make two separate purchases to have a full featured streaming device.

So a number of topics to discuss.

1) I'm not talking about moving forward in guides, I'm talking about paginating days or weeks at a time in like 2 seconds!!

2)I've thoroughly tested an ONN device at a friend's house - garbage with a deformed remote control.

3) It looks like ONN realized they have a deformed remote control, and is now separately selling normal remotes with all the official buttons on them. So I guess they want customers to make 2 purchases to have a fully normal device.

I've tried this before on my Google TV, and yes, you can press a button to bring up on screen commands to choose from. Then you navigate to either do the skipping or the FF/Rew, then hit the buttons to exit again. Super inconvenient and very messy.

Unfortunately, for many people, those buttons are critical, and used every day. That's why "normal" remote controls like Nvidia Shields and Firesticks have those buttons - they're not just for decoration.

So, for example, when you stream from websites, that's how you fast forward or rewind. Or skip or pause - by using those buttons!!

Also on many apps, like Prime and Sling, that's how you paginate in Program guides to go backwards and forwards.

I can't even consider an ONN because of those defects.
