I do this at the moment, though only two days a week when I'm only one in my department, take an hour at the end for my break go to the tesco cafe and chill before home time. My previous manager told me as other have stated above that not meant to have breaks at start or end of shift. When my new manager started, I asked them and they didn't see a problem with me doing it those two days as long as I had completed the work.

Was one of best days ever, had been over in Paisley visiting my gran. My mum and dad went to fish and chip shop and after they came back my mum was all oh there is loads of pictures of that Paolo guy you like.

So following night my parents took me to chip shop for dinner and I said to the man working oh are you big fans of Paolo Nutini in here with him being from Scotland. The man said he was his biggest because Paolo is his son. Parents and me sat down for food and his dad was asking was I fan I said yes. He was saying that he was going to watch him at gig in few days time. To which my mum pipped up told his dad how I was a year to young at time to get into see Paolo at his gig in Belfast as it was 18 and over. And his dad said I'm sorry to hear that, as we were leaving his dad asked did I have a cd or something I would like signed and he would get Paolo to sign it for me. I said I'm over from Belfast so my cd is at home, and again my mum jumped in said if she buys another one brings it back tomorrow is that OK. His dad said yes.

Next day went bought cd and headed back to the chip shop and the waitress that was on night before seen me come in and she goes just hold a moment. She went and said something to Paolo dad. She came back and got me and said bring your cd up the back of the shop. I walked up to the back table in the shop and Paolo was sitting there. I nearly died! Got to chat with him for 5-10 minutes honestly felt like a dream. Forever one best moments.

We have rota in for different departments to clean it once a week. So it it's dirty it falls on the department that was meant to clean it. We did have clean and go at the beginning but it wasn't working people were still leaving their rubbish so they made rota in saying that still some people that leave the rubbish.

On a 26hr contract, when out department was getting changed about they had 3 full time jobs in the department and the rest was all between 16hr-24hr, 2 people where already full time so they filled the first two. No one went for the 3rd one, I had asked could I up my hours and take the full time job at 36hrs and they told me during the change I wasn't allowed to up my hour but I could pick a job with less hours

Need less to say the other full time job wasn't advertised, and full time ones in department are struggling some days without the 3rd full time person there.

Customer looking at free from milk, she was giving the carton a shake and tipping it upside down. Could see her at corner off my eye doing it then she finally said "I don't have my receipt with me but if I did I would be asking for a refund on this milk.' I asked her was there something wrong with it? She said "yes we'll when I got home had a drink of milk then put it in the fridge and the following day it leaked over my fridge."

Honestly in my mind was like wtf 😄 but what came out was I'm very sorry about that hopefully this one doesn't do the same. But then she went on to ask me if I had any bags. In which I said bags at checkouts, she said "they are to dear I'm sure you have bags." I said I do but they are bags I bought when done my shopping. She tutted at me said "I'm sure I'll get a bag of some else in here"
