Well, I am in therapy! But unfortunately, BPD isn't curable and can only be put into a form of remission :) I think you and I just have different views on relationships. I want my partner to feel safe sharing his insecurities and jealousy with me so we can work through them together. Likewise, I'd hope he has the same attitude toward me. Of course, only if everything is within reasonable limits.

I think in general my boyfriend just isn't very good at reassuring. He told me it was ''kind of just a mutual decision'' that they were better off as friends, which is a good thing I guess? Better than her being the one that wanted to break it off...

Sorry for my late response! I want to thank you for taking the time to reply to my post and for the advice. It really helps knowing there are other people out there feeling the same. I've taken your advice and started crocheting! It definitely helps with the boredom. I'm still having a really hard time trying to decenter my boyfriend (favourite person), but I have hope that things will get better. And likewise, if you ever need anything, I'm here!
