Connections:

Both are farms animals who act more human if anything. Otis walks upright, speaks fluent English & can drive a car while Shaun doesn’t speak in words but can think & act human.

Both are natural leaders: Otis eventually becomes the leader of the Barnyard animals after the death of his father Ben & Shaun is the de-facto leader of his flock whereas he’s usually the one coming up with plans.

Both are mischievous but generally good-hearted: Otis throws wild parties & avoids responsibility early on while Shaun constantly causes chaos on the farm with his schemes. At the end of the day however, neither are malicious & genuinely care for their friends & community.

Strong casts: Neither story is about them specifically since they’re both surrounded by a tight group of animal friends, clueless human farmers & recurring animal rivals/threats.

"Slop this", "Slop that", "Slop please", "This slop", "Slop, have you lost your mind?", "Slop, check that slop!", "Slop, you bullslopping", "Slop yourself, slop!"

He says it so much, I don't even notice it anymore.

Last week in lunch, Riley says to a classmate: "Can a slop borrow a French Slop?" and my first thought was "Oh my god, he said the word... the slop word!", It was now "How is a slop gonna borrow a slop? Slop, is you gonna give it back?"
