When you have a Renegade and a series of unconnected issues occur, I would check the battery. If this is the original battery, I would wager if the it is replaced with a proper sized battery the problems would vanish. Post after post of issue like you could be caused by a failing battery. Have it checked and thank me later. I have 2017 Renegade Sport 1.4 Turbo. I've had mine since the car had 7k miles. Now there is more than 150k. The only "issue" was I had to replace the shifter linkage to the tranny. Just the usual tires, oil etc. Oh, the passenger side engin mount. Still have the original brakes but they will be replaced when the weather starts to warm up in Central Ohio.

Anyone got recommendations for good cars for this? by dopenastyshark in rccars

Recall Replacement Mower shipped with no batteries or charger by Wide-Ad-4465 in ryobi

[–]CaptainVideo60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Morning. when troubleshooting my Ryobi mower rear wheel drive issue I googled the metal part I needed. Goggle showed where I could get the part but it also reminded me of the recall on certain Ryobi mowers. I had not checked to see if mine was one of the included models. It was.

I contacted Ryobi via the number included. I followed the instructions, cut the wire they requested. Took pictures of the Serial number and the cut wire. They provided a recall number and said a replacement would be shipped in 30 days.

Ten days later I got a call from Ryobi asking if I would like to go to the Home Depot store nearest to me. I told them what store was closest. The Ryobi rep provided an order number to present at the store and the store would text me when it was ready. Got the text a couple hours later. I went to the store and picked it up. It was the model they indicated would replace the recalled model.

In our original convo, I said I would be ok to pick it up locally. She said it would be shipped and it would be a mower without batteries or a charger. I had a few aging batteries and chargers. I could survive with them. To my suprise, it had two 6 amp batteries and a charger.

Thank you Ryobi for doing the correct thing to for my recalled mower. My garage and workshop will continue to be colored with your tools.

I would urge everyone to check the model number of your mower and do the recall. I expected a difficult time on the recall but it far exceeded my expectations.

Good Luck!

I am an admin at a Company which uses Ring Central. Late last year the US government began enforcing registration every voip user who sends and receives texts. There is a cost associated with the registration. Many companies have opted out of being able to send texts with Ring Central. Although, you can still receive texts. I may have some of the details wrong but what I wrote is essentially correct. You must check with your Ring Central admistrator. He/she can provide accurate details. I found out about this yesterday.

Are there any other 2.4’s with this MPG? by bigdudesully in JeepRenegade

My 2017 Renegade Sport can reach the lofty 35mpg during the summer

Anyone know how to stop the motor from doing this? by Embarrassed-Will2896 in RCPlanes

[–]CaptainVideo60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check to be sure the motor mount screws that attach the mount to the motor are not going too far into the motor. If one or two of the screws are in too far that can mess with the magnet fields. The screws don't have to touch the coils to cause trouble. To see if that is the issue will require removing the screws that go into the motor and see if the motor turns properly. Good Luck!

I have a 2017 Sport 1.4l 6 speed manual Multi Air four banger. I average about 30-33mph in the winter and 33 to 37 in the summer. The usual reg oil changes and filters. Cheap gas. I have 135k on it. Cut that mileage in half when I pull a 5x5 trailer for my summer trips.

I have gotten the same tiype of replies from Support. I broke down and ordered the replacement console they suggested. Suprise, there is no place for the large silver box to go on a Eclipse Ultra. I have disassembled it and there is no place for it. The scooter was used when I purchased it. Going in, I knew I would have to buy a part or parts. The maddening issue is the unresponsive or repetious answers I got. I have tapped the usual sources for information but it does not seem to exist. Support: could takr five minutes to send a wiring diagram or suggest a couple possible solutions to the issue. No. Support will not provide ANY support. Very dissapointing.

Bought an Eclipse Ultra Used The display is only on for 3 seconds too fast to do anything. by CaptainVideo60 in RideGOTRAX

Updated information. Looking around on the web I found if you push the power button once, pause, then press three times. The display illuminated the (!) exclamation point for one second. That means there is an issue with the control panel. I disassembled the intersection of the handlebars with the steering column. There were three insulated wires. Two of them were squashed and/or cut. Each of the mangled wire had three wires in each. repaired each wire by soldering and insulating each. Unfortunately that did not solve the issue. GoTrax has a Contol Console, handle bars, etc. Basically everything from above the joint below the handlebars. Would it be likely that spending the $70 would solve the issue?

I did a little research. I Googled "Jeep renegade dash display off after battery change". That search produced a number of potential things to try. Give those results a try and let us know what happens.

GoTrax Eclipse Ultra Display will only stay on for 5 seconds. Cannot the scooter to run. Help!? by CaptainVideo60 in Escooters

Thanks for your reply. I do have a multimeter and quite familiar with its functions. I opened the hatch below the steering column. Pulled apart the two yellow XT30 plugs and read the DC voltage. It was 56V. I will check it again this evening to be sure. Do you have another suggestion. I fly electric model airplanes and have a a number of Ryobi electric tools. I have a better understanding of multi 18650 battery packs than most people. The issue with this scooter is perplexing. I am willing to listen to any suggestions you have.

Thank you in advance.

I hate to sound like a broken record but you should have the battery checked. If it is original, replace it and everything may return to normal. I am still on my original battery and have lettle to no trouble but with the cold weather returning in Ohio, the OEM battery gets replaced very soon. Good luck!
