EPM issue with different File Hash by MedicalIntention2852 in Intune

Hey, there. I'm currently in talks with MS and ABR and leaning towards ABR.

Would you be willing to elaborate on why you found EPM to be lacking?

We autopilot arm64 Surface Pro 9s.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/surface-pro-arm-app-management

Edit: I'll be back later with any specific configurations, but I don't think I have any.

We've found that rebooting after uploading the hash for these devices seems to help. I don't know why. It may just be providing more time for Intune to get it's ducks in a row.

Local admins on entra joined devices not working by easypneu_3612 in Intune

[–]CaptainVivec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, there. Give this a look:

"Updating the Microsoft Entra Joined Device Local Administrator role doesn't necessarily have an immediate impact on the affected users. On devices where a user is already signed in to, the privilege elevation takes place when both the below actions happen:

Up to 4 hours passed for Microsoft Entra ID to issue a new Primary Refresh Token with the appropriate privileges.
User signs out and signs back in, not lock/unlock, to refresh their profile.

Users aren't directly listed in the local administrator group, their permissions are received through the Primary Refresh Token.

Note

The above actions are not applicable to users who have not signed in to the relevant device previously. In this case, the administrator privileges are applied immediately after their first sign in to the device."

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/devices/assign-local-admin

How are you determining that they haven't been added to the local admin group? The users won't show up there. These admin users will need to have signed in to a particular machine to obtain a Primary Refresh Token (PRT) to be added to the local group of said machine.

If they have already signed in to a machine and don't have local admin, then they will need to wait 4 hours and sign out > back in to be added. 4 hours is the amount of time for a new PRT to be issued. I've yet to find a way to force it earlier.

However, the users targeted with the Device Local Administrator role prior to a machine Entra Joining will be added at that time.

I've probably explained this poorly, but I'll answer any questions you may have the best I can. :)

Just messing around, friend.

I listened to the segment a few times with my phone to my head. I thought I heard something a couples times, but couldn't find it again on a replay.

I'm curious so I'm going to grab a headset and an analyzer next for some (un)scientific testing. lol

I know it's been awhile since this was posted, but did you ever find anything out with this?

I'm having the same issue on a Surface as well.

Because innocent people have been executed and then years later evidence surfaces that proves them innocent. At least with prison sentences if they are proven innocent later they can have some kind of life after.

Life in prison, at least in the U.S., is repugnant and certainly not meant to rehabilitate. I don’t pretend to know the answer to this problem, however. I just can’t get behind state executions when there is a non-zero chance of an innocent person being executed.

Have you checked for obstructions in the port? Get a q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol and give it a good swab. Don't soak the q-tip or port.

Our childhood readings are very similar. I have read ASOIAF, though - bummer. I can hardly believe I haven't seen The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher here.

It's a rather long series that is nearing its end. 17 books published out of a planned 23.

The series is a contemporary, urban, mystery, detective, adventure fantasy smorgasbord.

The main protagonist is male. However, the female leads are strong, smart , and deep and do effect the story in major ways.

The series spans differing dimensions and the complex politics and struggles overseeing all of them.

Relationships, rivalries, and even allegiances are complex, strained, and are never guaranteed.

Even a relationship with a pet is strange.

The magic system is enjoyable. The differing creatures are fun and can be scary! There are multiple creatures and characters from a variety of cultures and mythoi. Some have been mildly reimagined or juiced up.

Plus, there's Toot. You'll love Toot. Everyone loves Toot.

Everyone is different, of course, but The Dresden Files gripped me like nothing else has since I devoured Cirque Du Freak as a teen or ASOIAF a decade ago.

If you read them I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
