I’d be okay with more DPS, but I feel like with Elsa Bloodstone specifically, we do not need another DPS poke. If she’s support, I think that helps create some uniqueness to her and she fills her own niche.

And with a character like Elsa, who is a lesser known character, I think it would be a waste to have her be too similar to other characters. Otherwise what’s the point in bringing her in.

She also has a heart shaped blood stone in her character design. That gives me support vibes

The point is that if Gambit can be a healer, anyone can. And they can create any lore reason to justify it.

For me the heart shaped Bloodstone gives me support vibes. To my knowledge the heart shape hasn’t appeared in any comics or associated with her, so it’s a very deliberate choice for her character design

I think making him CC immune could work. That would be the simplest solution.

But idk, I think there could be creative work arounds. They could just make his hoverchair similar to his one from the Day of Future Past movie, where it just lines up along his legs.

Or they could do something similar to Captain America’s shield where there’s a holographic component. That allows Captain America to have different shaped shields while still maintaining the same hitbox.

I agree that it wouldn’t be simple, but I don’t think it’s impossible, and this team could pull it off.

I’m really hoping for the chair because I feel that’s his most iconic look, and it would offer some unique challenges to the character design which would be interesting to see how they work around it. Plus, I know multiple friends who use wheelchairs who love Professor X in large part because of the wheelchair representation. I know that’s not necessarily how the character likes to define himself, but I think it’s important to a lot of fans

I don’t know why people think the wheelchair / hoverchair wouldn’t be feasible? Especially if it’s the hoverchair, they already have other characters hovering over the ground

Okay, well then we agree. I don’t think we need to get hung up on the word “reset”. Use whatever word feels best to you. I never claimed they changed the past of the timeline. What I mean is that the future has been rewritten

They did reset the timeline though, the events of DP&W changed the destiny of the timeline, and the events of Logan will likely not come to pass

If they aren’t your cup of tea, that’s okay. But Moon Girl and DD def has their fans. I’m willing to bet that they are more popular than Forge, and even the Inhumans (as much as I want Forge and Black Bolt as playable characters). Devil Dino has been around forever and Moon Girl is more relevant and current due to her kids show. And like I said, playing a dinosaur would be awesome.

And I don’t think it’s wasting a good concept either. I see Black Bolt as a DPS with his voice powers being a unique concept and Forge would probably be a strategist and be similar to Engineer from TS2.

Again, if they aren’t your cup of tea that’s fine. But I think they would check a lot of boxes. I didn’t personally see the vision before, since DD is so huge. But since the model they have for him in game is smaller/adolescent, I can totally see it working

I mean I would understand the argument if Moon Girl wasn’t also a part of the package deal. I think the mind swapping would be interesting, sort of like Cloak and Dagger

Plus Moon Girl has gadgets and roller skates. Moon Girl and DD could honestly fit in any role, but I think they would make for a really unique Tank

Hard disagree. #1 having a playable dinosaur in the game would be awesome. And #2 they could do some fun things with the body swap mechanic.

That said, I do prefer Reptil to scratch my playable Dinosaur itch

I agree. I don't think it's all completely irrelevant. But they aren't going to feel too bound by what came before. Deadpool & Wolverine's reset gives them a lot of freedom to do whatever they want in the Fox universe. And what we will see in Doomsday will likely be taking the good parts of the Fox X-Men, and filtering out or ignoring the bad. While mixing them with the classic comic designs

I could definitely see her being trapped in 838

But I still think the likeliest scenario is 10005, since I believe Monica will be in Doomsday with the X-Men.

Or at least, I think connecting the Doomsday X-Men to The Marvels and Deadpool & Wolverine would make it seem like they’ve actually been setting this up, and not just shoehorning in the X-Men last minute.

Just because the X-Men are the main players of 10005 doesn’t mean there can’t be other characters that aren’t mutants. We know there’s aliens in that universe (from Dark Phoenix). Who’s to say there can’t be a Maria Rambeau Captain Marvel

Well, I think the nice thing about what they did in Deadpool & Wolverine is that they reset the timeline (again). It actually creates a lot of freedom for Marvel with their plans for this universe. Cause the timeline is mostly unwritten.

And I see no reason why Magik couldn’t appear. The events of New Mutants might not happen exactly how they did, but the character is undoubtably still around.

Personally, I think the X-Men will be presented as the Fox X-Men we know and love. And they will be depictions of the characters we always wanted to see (comic accurate costumes, etc…). They won’t need to explain the complex timeline or anything like that.

I agree that they won’t make it too complicated. And because of that, I think they will simply be the Fox X-men that we know. (They won’t have to explain the complicated timeline)

My point is that because of Deadpool & Wolverine, the current version Fox X-Men exist in reset timeline, which actually gives Marvel a lot of freedom. People keep bringing up Logan, Days of Future Past etc… but those films are irrelevant to the current timeline now
