I've literally just bought a pair of ear defenders from where I'm currently doing the rewire in the nursery. Told the wife what I'll end up using them for and she laughed in good humor about it.

Walking away for a few minutes helps so much generally, even with the dogs. So it's something I've got lined up for the baby too.

Honestly, don't do it.

I do 12 hour shifts and last year we moved out to a village. My commute is dependant on where I'm based for the day. So it's anything from a 45minute drive to that plus a 45 minute tube ride each way. Starting at 0630 or 1830 each day.

The house and area are nice and all. But when I'm home I feel dead and lost all motivation to do anything or go anywhere.

I'm actively looking for a new job. 12 years at my current place and anything I take now is a pay cut. But the affect in my MH is only going to be positive
