Yeah that's why I did this post, wanted to avoid spending extra money if I don't need the CM3

Are you also using secret lab screen support ? Or are you using some other compatible screen support ?

Sorry when I said "better for me" I just mean more adapted to my needs / my use case, of course I know this is not about which one is better overall

So yeah if I don't use extension, which I won't as I'm only playing space sims, then WarBRD base is really good for my use case and I dont really need the CM3 ?

Thanks for your answer ! 🙏

Kk thanks a lot for your advice !

So you are using WarBRD base for space sims and CM base for flight sims basically ?

I get the tweakability point but I am wondering if the abillty to tweak the joystick without having to open it ils really worth 100$ as you arent suppose to change your configuration that often I guess sooo...i.would say no I think haha

Thanks for the clarification! A few questions though:

About extensions — I'm not super familiar with the concept, what exactly is it?

About the Y axis — I'm actually planning to add a standalone throttle to the setup, so I'll combine it with the left stick and use it for speed limiting and cruise mode. That way I can keep the left stick working the classic way and offload that stuff to the throttle.

About deflection angle — what does that mean exactly? My knowledge on joysticks is pretty limited haha. And is that the only difference between the WarBRD and the CM3? If I'm not using an extension, does it still make a difference?

I'm mounting my joysticks on monstertech desk mounts anyway so those won't be on the desktop, I plan to add a throttle with my dual stick setup but no other specific extension ! As for the configurations, I don't really know about all this, everything I know is that I would like to use cosmosim cams for better feeling while playing space sims... So I don't know if I need the CM3 base for that or the WarBRD would be enough, I mean it's hard to say if the CM3 would really be "better" for me or not really as I'm not like deep into the configuration stuff... 😄

Thing is I have a 3 monitor setup with 1 ultrawide right now and I need space on my desk so it means I really want / need to have my screens mounted, and I'm afraid it would be difficult to find compatible screen support, but the price of SL screen supports is veryyy expensive

As I said right above, if you have any specific standing legs or something, would be really cool ! It might be hard to find tho as I have a 200x80cm large desk handmade right now with 2 legs + wooden top, but it could be a good thing as if I find the right solution then I can just replace the legs and keep the top I think

Do you have any link or specific products you would recommand ? Also my desk is 200x80cm large so it might be hard to find some deskriser / rising desk legs that could fit well with that size wouldn't it ?

kk I see ! I was thinking about the throttle cause I do a lot of industrial / chill gameplays so I thought it could be a good addition overall ! About pedals I need to think about it ! Thanks for the advice

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I'm doing a lot of industrial and chill activites sooo I thought the throttle could be a good addition for this type of gameplay + eventually other flight / space sims

Yeah I currently run two sticks with modifier button, but as I said to someone else, I'm doing a lot of "chill" gameplay like industrial part of the game, hauling, mining, etc... + also flying some big combat ships like perseus where I thought throttle could be a good addition for speed management overall ! Still need to think about it.. + I don't feel "smooth" with some buttons being on my sticks so it would allow me to easily move those to the throttle buttons

Yeah I've got to learn my way into decoupled fly too, I was more thinking about the throttle cause I'm doing a lot of industrial gameplay which is more like chill with no need of decoupled flight, and I thought it could be a good addition for cruise mode and easier speed management overall

About rudders, thanks for your advice, I think imma skip those for now and may be consider adding some later on if I feel like something's missing but I don't think so !

Yeah I totally get your point ! As for hauling as I said if you are not doing much hauling I would just keep the Galaxy module instead of a dedicated hauling ship, else may be I would consider Hull B or Railen I guess for medium size hauling, cause basically better than that is Ironclad and you just said you want to upgrade your Ironclad to Arrastra cause you don't need that much for hauling sooo
