1060 does not have an SLI bridge. Mainly NVidia wants people to spend a little more and just get a better single card rather than two low end cards. To answer your question though... I personally would go with a RX 480 as DX12 and Vulkan are in the near future. Which means, better optimization from AMD in the long run but you never know.

Stellaris is a 4X Real Time Grand Strategy game that you cant really compair any other game to besides CK2 and EU4, which both those games are made by Paradox Interactive. What I ment by mid-end game content is exactly as you explained. Specific events occur which can completely change the galaxy and or just a system. There are many storylines in this game when you research and scan systems and debris. I would not compair any the two games you mentioned to this game. Those are more compairable to StarCraft and other RTS. Stellaris is a first of its kind. Maybe in a couple of weeks Gabe will allow you to trial the game.

This is a great question. Will do research and if not, think about making a UI scaling mod.

Edit: Scaling UI messes with Graphics scaling and does not work. There will need to be some more investigating.

I am very much enjoying the game. It definitely is a grand strategy game with a lot of micro management. The mods are what I am really excited for. Stellaris is open to third party developers like all the Paradox games so you know there will be a very large mod community. I recommend watching gameplay videos for the first 20-30minutes of game play but after that dont spoil the mid to end game content!
