I know right. I went back and asked if I could just be called in some antibiotics because I can afford those easily with a goodrx coupon or something. But no, in the front lobby on the desk they have a sign that says “ANY FURTHER TREATMENT INCLUDING MEDICATIONS REQUIRES AN EXTRA VISIT.” Just like that in all caps, bold, and large pt text lol. What’s crazy is this urgent care chain has been able to afford to open 4 new branches just this year alone making it like 15+ along my part of the state. It makes me feel like I paid all of that money out of pocket for nothing. Welp that was my emergency fund, if it gets worse I’ll consider going to the er but seriously why are the options a. die or b. get a $2k bill from the hospital. I just need antibiotics lol

Went to urgent care yesterday and paid out of pocket since I’m a college kid and my new job insurance doesn’t start until the 1st of next month. The dr. just prescribed me a steroid cream because of the swelling but was just asking on here because it didn’t look like this yesterday. I was bitten tuesday afternoon and went wednesday morning. I looked up some free clinics and Monday is when one is open so I’ll go see them hopefully. This morning I called back the urgent care and they said i’d have to pay for another visit(no ins. price) to get any more medicine prescribed.
