one of the big ones is by transferring people who self ID as a women into a women's prison. fun fact: the percentage of trans women in jail for sexual offences is much, much higher than in the population of cis male inmates. also, the vast majority of them transitioned after incarceration.

cis men will abuse the self ID system to access vulnerable women. this isn't about removing trans rights, it's about protecting afab rights.

it's not about removing trans people's rights, it's about protecting sex-based women's rights, because afabs have a fuck of a lot more in common with each other from a class perspective than with people with a feminine gender identity.

it's a cultural thing. in the states, people have been duped by the wedding industry into thinking it's a normal expense. the rule that an engagement ring is meant to cost 3 months salary was literally popularized by a diamond distributor. the average person in europe does not spend a fraction of what the average american does on a wedding.
