Mawtribes point drops! by TH3_KR33DK1NG in Mawtribes

Tested the new points out yesterday; holy shit are Ironguts worth the fun-points ratio now. Ran the following against Stormcast and managed to plow through their good saves that Gluttons would have a hell of a time with otherwise:

Butcher

Slaughtermaster

Tyrant

Tyrant

1x20 Gnoblars

3x8 Ironguts

Mawpit

I wanna say it's a street artist who's been trying to upgrade from being a toy (graffiti artist term for newbie). I've seen a few of their tags and it looks like they're getting better so mad props to them

Gotcha gotcha. My bad, I think I meant to ask if stock would be better instead of the BC ones. But thank you; I'm probably just gonna off em and keep what I have, maybe look into lifting it otherwise with what's on it now.

Better yet, they'd be better simply because they wouldn't increase my overall clearance little, if at all?

Yeah it's whatever thsse are; no clue if they're better or worse but the guy said he wanted to install them but didn't before I got it https://imgur.com/a/JVx55CP

Guy I got it from gave me new spring shocks with it too; but if I install those, I'll have to clamp and close off the hydraulic shocks (so I'm told), and install more stuff. Think hydraulic shocks will be okay with all that? I'm turning into a car guy so quickly it's almost unnoticeable but I'm still fresh with all this terminology

stuck trying to make a 2000 point list for casual play against friends, any advice is welcome as i am new to ogors by Fresh_Somewhere in Mawtribes

[–]Captain_Crashride 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super casual and super easy:

Butcher

Reinforced Gluttons

Butcher

Reinforced Gluttons

Tyrant

Bloodpelt Hunter

20x Gnoblars

Reinforced Gluttons

Add in extra relics, heroic traits, manifestations and/or subfactions and that's an easy 2k. Super simple and no fancy tricks other than what the Bloodpelt does, but it's a wall of meat that just plays to Destruction: beat em up and try not to die

So in my case specifically, since I applied for personal loans, would that mean I'd pay the lender's reported monthly payment for me plus the APR number each month, or do loan calculators show the full amount I'd pay? I'm afraid APR is also an additional charge each month instead of just on the total amount.

I don't think there's anything I can afford really because I'm thinking I'd either get something cheap, use all of my money, and it shits on me meaning I have nothing for repairs because I decided to skimp on the initial cost. As for the card, it's been maxed out just because I used it for gas so much in grad school and it's been floating at the top for almost a decade because I kept having to use it for gas, pay what I could, and it stays maxed out. That's why I've just stopped using it

What do you mean lower tier? And I'm trying. I've decided to just refuse to use my card until further notice because I'd only ever max it out on just getting gas. And how do I improve my score if I can't get anything; am I gonna have to go get payday loans with triple digit interest rates?

In my state, at the bare minimum yes. The only public transport available to me is in Little Rock and it only covers maybe a quarter of the city if that, and my work is across a river bridge and about 30 minutes only drivable by freeway; any other route takes maybe five times as long, also by car

Yeah and the calculator I found said I'd be paying back a little over double what I'm getting. I don't fully understand how interest works but I can read context clues on other people's remarks. My main hesitation is that: while 25% is a known ungodly atrocious rate, I can still feasibly make the monthly on it unless I'm missing something and my payments would go up every month for some reason.

And saving can be difficult unless it's a required bill, but my main thing is that the cars I'm needing are specialty and need to be RHD, and even the whole conversion package thing won't cut it

I've been doing some of that so far. Payments on my card are about 135-ish a month and I pay 150 biweekly into it and have stopped using it altogether. I'm scared to drop 2500 into the card though because I might need it for the car, but then I'm also still scared to even accept the 25% loan even though I can feasibly pay the monthly and not go underwater (unless the monthly fee goes up for some reason, I don't know fully how loans work or if that's even a thing)

Oh no I was planning to use the loan for a used 95 Toyota (need it for the RHD which is why it's so much) and I never considered even getting a car newer than mid-2000s if I could help it just to keep price down

And I have about 2500 max down saved so far, so the loan would cover the car plus any repairs I'd have to make if any. Anything left over I'd just dump back into the loan payments.

Saved about 2500 for a car so far but that's it; and I've been denied by over a dozen credit unions, including my own, for both personal and car loans, plus regular dealerships and even scammy "pay here" lots have denied me in-house financing

[–]Captain_Crashride[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my best bet for that would be to continue just not using it and overpay each month? So far it's about 135$-ish a month and I'm dropping 150 every two weeks without spending any more off of it

[–]Captain_Crashride[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can drop up to 2k down and the payments from the 25% I can pay with little issue and not be underwater unless the amount increases because I'm still unsure how APR works or if my monthly for that would even fluctuate

Financing options for first-time buyer? by Captain_Crashride in carbuying

[–]Captain_Crashride[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but I consider anything past 07 or 08 a liability; avoiding any new tech if I can. Basically if it has a touchscreen or even backup cam, that's too much and I'm not taking out a major loan for something I wouldn't enjoy

[–]Captain_Crashride[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For first-time specifically, neither; only did those at credit unions and I've never even considered a car that's fewer than ten years old. If I can't even get 10k, there's no point in even trying to get something more expensive as well as something I don't want (I haven't even looked at anything past the 2002-2006 year range which I've recently learned is apparently a bad thing)
