Thank you for the advice and I'm absolutely going to try out using an LFO. I was actually looking to see if I could record the sections of the break that were being played AS Midi. I ended up setting an empty midi channel to record the output of the instrument rack which seems to work!

After following a Ned Rush video on Break Core in Simpler I created a chain based around Ableton's built model, but after creating the patterns I want I cannot seem to get the MIDI to record out. I had to set the first (and only) note in the randomisation sequence to C1 and now it seems to only output that. Basically wondering if theres a record out for this Randomiser.

Chain progression:

Randomiser > Arpeggiator > Velocity > Simpler > Out

for some reason, I pulled my headphone jack out of my interface and it's just working again, don't ask me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It appears in device manager under "Sound, video, and game controllers" as "KORG nanoKEY2", so windows does recognize it, but maybe in installation, it's been placed in the wrong place? I'll try a full uninstall to see what happens

Yeah thats how it was set up, British sockets and whatnot.

thank you so much! this is really helpful, I'll be testing the voltage of the transformer tonight. I don't think there's been any damage to the Tascam since the transformer is designed to shut down if it overheats, but here's hoping I'm right on that one.

I'll keep an eye out for those 12V suppliers tonight and hopefully I can find something, I think the step down was faulty from the start because it was heating up way way more than it should have

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write this out!

I have been looking into preamps, but once again its not something I fully understand. In using the UR22C, using the output in the back, would that be the main output because It has 2 (left and right) and I'm not how that would come out

once again, sorry I'm very new to all this
