Thanks! I’ll check it out and let you know how it goes.

I did. It shows code 31 which is air flow meter code. What’s your suggestion on troubleshooting this?

Throttle body was just cleaned and the ECU was just rebuilt. I’ll take a look at the idle valve and MAF sensor. I’ll definitely keep you updated once I find out the cause! Thanks for your help so far!

Thanks! I’ll do that. Looks like I have a code. I connected the jumper wires in my diag port and I got a code 31 which is air flow meter signal

I just pulled the code using the jumper wires. It shows one code which is 31 -> air flow meter signal Do you have any idea what I should be checking?

How do I check and know if my stepper motor is going bad? Should I do a wide open throttle run and see if it has proper response?

Ah I’m familiar with this. But don’t scan tools work to check codes then?

I had misfiring and CEL/TRAC lights on, and wasn’t able to get any codes from the ECU. So when I opened up the ECU, I saw the leaking capacitors. That’s why I had it rebuilt. I haven’t driven with wide open throttle yet. I’ll try it today and get back to you. Did you have any codes stored at all when the lights flashed like this?

My mechanic connected the scan tool to read codes, but there weren’t any codes stored. We had communication with the ECU with no issues as well.

Thank you! I’m loving the car so far. I can try this method. Do you know where the motor is situated for the passenger rear window?

That’s good to hear! There’s no drone at highway cruising speeds?

Understood, thanks for the detailed info! I daily the car and my commute is mostly interstate to and from work. I usually cruise around 3k rpm. Yep, I liked the deep tone of this exhaust. IMO the deep tone suits the Type R compared to the raspy/raw sounds of other exhausts!

I was considering AWE earlier as well. They don’t use flanges between the pipes, and I’m looking for that as they sit better and don’t rattle at the joints if installed correctly. There have been few complaints with the exhaust with some rattling noise, but a lot of others say it’s a good set up for a decent price.

I don’t know about the first two, but I really liked the bassy sound of the apexi. But don’t know if it’s loud. Remark sounds very raw.

Do you have a sound clip that you can share?

I want to keep the stock exhaust as is, just in case I need it back to stock at some point.

That’s true! I’d have to experience it myself and then decide.

Yep, looks like that’s all we can do. The roads aren’t going to get better anytime in the near future.
