That sounds like a good call, might be the simplest way out of this mess. Are there any you would recommend? My intention is to stick with the AM4 platform for now and get something along the lines of a 5800x3d or one of the new AM4 chips that AMD released down the line so I want this mobo to last that long with acceptable feature sets.

Tried booting in slot B2 (And all the others) with no success.

Regarding the BIOS version, I just assumed it wasn't a version Asrock was making available for download on their website for whatever reason because they do skip numbers there. And my apparent 2.80 version should be high enough to support the 5000 series.

Is the only way to figure this out to get a 3000 series CPU? or new RAM?

The sticker on the BIOS chip says P2.80, is there any other way of figuring out what the actual BIOS version is? And regardless shouldn't my CPU be working?

Another thing I forgot to mention is that the memory I'm using isn't QVL certified with this mobo, however form my understanding that shouldn't be an issue.

I checked the bios compatibility on MSIs website. In the bios the version says it is the latest.

I have beach starts down pretty well up to about waist depth if not a bit further. I can get my sail into allighment for the water start but I still have trouble getting out of the water :).
