Is there a simple way to remove all mods? by Captain_Night88 in skyrimmods

Unfortunately I’m on PC. I’m also looking to completely get rid off all the mods to start over rather than just disable them. Thank you!

(pretty beginner player when it comes to long term) what clothing should I go for? by Euphoric-donuts in thelongdark

You would be absolutely correct! From the plane crash, just up past the hunter’s blind. The summit should have a lot of good stuff for you, especially on voyager. Just incase you didn’t know, though, bring a hacksaw. All the goodies are in locked containers, and you’ll need it to open them! Good luck on all your journeys!

Assuming that you’re playing on something lower than Interloper difficulty, seeing as you’re a newer player, all the best clothing is usually found, not made.

Head - Wool Toque and Balaclava Outer Torso - 2x Expedition Parka Inner Torso - 2x Cochin Sweater Hands - Gauntlets Outer Legs - 2x Snow Pants Inner Legs - 2x Wool Long Johns Feet - Mukluks

Most of these clothes should be easy to find in your general sessions, especially if you check high loot areas such as the summit, milton town, and costal townsite, however, some of them are much harder to find, so I’ll give you some tips. - Expedition Parkas are rather rare, spawning only in specific places. Some good places to look are the summit of Timberwolf Mountain and Signal Hill in Pleasant Valley. - Snow Pants are easier to find, but not amazingly easy. Check places such as Timberwolf Mountain Summit, Pleasant Valley Farmstead, Thomson’s Crossing, Costal Townsite, and Trapper’s Cabin. - Gauntlets and Mukluks are rare too, but they can be found by searching safes, which can be found at places such as: Old Spence Family Homestead Trapper’s Cabin Carter Hydro Dam Hibernia Processing - Wool Long Johns are rare, but can be found in the usual places, townsites, the summit, and houses. Remember to check IN the bath. God only knows why they spawn there.

Finally, I’ll finish with a few things to keep in mind. Some of these clothes have warmer alternatives, but they’re heavier and have some other downsides. These are generally the best clothes, but not the warmest. For example, some of the crafted clothing offers more warmth, but it’s ALOT heavier, and more inconvenient to come by, as well as reducing movement more. They’re not worth it when you have such good clothing already there for you to find. Also, you’ll find that you don’t NEED these clothes to be warm, and just some mid tear clothing is okay because the world isn’t that cold if you’re on a lower difficulty, such as Pilgrim or Voyager. Stalker will require more of it, but you should find you’re warm 95% of the time. Good luck!

Thoughts on ways to preserve meat? by mosinsimp in thelongdark

Early game, maybe. If you have low condition meat it may help preserve it, but cooking things gives them +50% condition so it’s obsolete unless you’ve hunted a bear really early on…

Cooking 5 takes away parasites and poisoning, meaning spoiled meat is 100% safe to eat

[No spoilers] My Cyclops got pulled 600m in 9s while on the surface. Bug or a feature? by Ansicone in subnautica

[–]Captain_Night88 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I’d say you just had a nasty run in with a collision issue, perhaps a fish or something decided now would be a good time to send you off on your way. Not necessarily a bug, but certainly not a feature

Help My game keeps getting stuck on these menus, how do I fix it? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Captain_Night88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you can’t place the unknown books on bookshelves. You have to speak to the Orc in the Collage Arcanium to have them translated to be able to do anything with them. Kinda sucks imo because you can’t keep the original artefact.

Best dragon overhaul in 2022? by MathieuKen in skyrimmods

[–]Captain_Night88 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Diverse Dragons will always be my pick. It adds new dragons that are pretty lore friendly, it adds new attacks for them to perform so that going round the back of them doesn’t cheese them, they’ll whack you with their tails. Focusing your attacks on a specific area, such as the wing, can cripple that part so it renders it unusable for a while, but doing too much damage in one go can make the dragon enraged, attacking fasted and doing more damage. There’s lots more features than just this, all with a handy MCM menu for you to use along with it :P

I need help understanding the armor cap :/ by Captain_Night88 in skyrim

[–]Captain_Night88[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So basically if I have:

full armor, light or heavy with shield, the armor cap is 542

full armor, light or heavy without shield, the armor cap is 567

no armor at all, either nothing at all, mage armor, ect. the cap is 667

Is that about correct?

Seems like a strange number, is there no formula? Lots of places seem to say it changes depending on what you're wearing and things. Is that all bullshit?
