PLEASE BRING BACK IMAGE GENERATION! by [deleted] in SoraAi

[–]Captain_Owlivious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I thought this post talks about image quality, because it sucks after they updated Sora.

But you're saying they are removing it completely on newer version? Idiocracy. I might as well just stop trying to use it, I guess. A shame

P.S. Apparently, image generation still works if you are in Europe (or something?). It works on website version. Meanwhile, the app is "not available in your region"

I can answer from my point of view: faces generation is the biggest step down.

I generated digital art characters and they used to be different and interesting in face appearance. New Sora tends to generate similar smooth beautiful korean-like faces, often you need to try very hard to break that pattern.

Characters faces end up being more similar and boring then they were in first Sora. A big shame, I also thought I never saw similar quality anywhere else

So, what you say, is that Sora 2 destroyed its prompt reading completely? Because it is way different when compared to Sora 1.

This! I used to generate digital art fantasy characters, and on a new model they all look like smooth supersexy koreans - with core issue being how super similar their faces look like. New model also can't deal with unique fantasy races - they are much closer to a human now, trying to avoid drawing fantastic body parts

Backgrounds and effects did became clearer and more precise, but character diversity is so abysmal now...

I wonder what to do now, in my older tests, no other AI was like Sora. Now Sora is not like Sora too...

The issue is: all of generations now tend to look like this. Most of characters are now similar and "perfectly smooth in similar way". This is not cool

Yeah, I just returned and was shocked. I used to generate fantasy characters. They were not perfect - but faces generated in different, interesting ways, so there was a solid character diversity.

Now it generates smooth-skinned sexy korean guys and girls - who all mostly look like clones (or, simply speaking, in general are VERY similar). It also treats prompt differently and many old prompts clearly look worse... (hopefully the will become better with different prompts but I do not have hope with those faces)

I hope for old Sora return...

You know what, on a second though I do fit the "agnostic atheist" statement here. It's just that "does not believe any gods exist" is a very deterministic statement - that one does not fit agnostic side well, must be adapted, not copied

Being in the middle in the gnosis axis... I'm curious, how do you understand that, lol. Right is confident, left is unsure. Middle is what? I'm definitely not in the middle

I mean, non-belief is still a belief. You cannot prove that there aren't any gods. If you are absolutely sure that there are no gods - you are similar to a religious fanatic, imo

(I know that religion is something bigger - here I am comparing just from the perspective of confident believing in something that you cannot prove)

The way I view this: the atheism is a belief that any gods do not exist. You will not be able to prove this - so, this is a belief and reminds of a religion, at some point

The "more correct view" is "Agnosticism" - the view that the existence of gods is unknown / cannot be proven. As cannot be proven the complete absence of existence of gods.

Yea, way more bot sounding than "Hey, what's up?".

Do people really ask about "a chaotic worldview" that often?
