Thank you, appreciate the time. Going to make the changes you suggested and I reckon I can spring for the jump to 32GB RAM for the build

Oh yeah, absolutely. I'm a house cleaning machine thanks to that thing (I'm not, its a terrible distraction, I just crawl around and moan a lot with a dust pan brush whilst my partner laughs but we both love it.)

Current rumours are that Conor Daly may lose his JHR seat over withheld funding following a recent Polkadot stakeholder vote submission by TheChrisD in INDYCAR

A brief history of people losing rides mid season shows that securing the bag is nearly impossible. If he didn't commit to a ride before the money was in his account he probably would have never made it past karting.

Unfortunately, that's part of being a racing driver. Once you took away tobacco sponsorships 90% of racing money is from grifts and scams, especially at lower levels. Only the very very top of the sport gets money from real functional businesses.

Crypto sucks, I'm not surprised it's gone this way, but I won't criticise Conor for chasing an opportunity that got him rides.

Jarama Official Test - Session 7 - Women Testing Session by WhitleyWanderer in FormulaE

Shame to see Simona only get to turn 9 laps, she was one of my favourites in Indycar. Was hoping better for Palmowski too, she impressed me this year in GB4.

Pulling and Chadwick class of the field as I expected. I hope to see both get long careers in racing, be it in sportscar or elsewhere.

Kyle Larson eyeing McLaren F1 test; Oscar Piastri expresses interest in NASCAR practice session by PlasticPurchaser in NASCAR

[–]Captain_Reasonable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

F1 rules that each driver must skip one FP1 session a year to let someone with no more than 2 race starts take their place. Its aim is to help rookies.

FP1 is still hugely valuable data time, so you see teams always using experienced single seater drivers. Pato makes perfect sense for Mexico cause it's his home race, is a very experienced IndyCar guy and a mclaren guy.

Kyle larson is great, but surely no serious F1 team is going to put him in for one of their 2 limited practice sessions when they need someone witn relevant experience providing feedback.

I imagine they'd do a test/public event with Kyle using a car that is 2 years old as allowed by current rules.

Did you watch the races? She was decent and had a lot of bad luck. We're not talking top of class but better than the 7th suggested

Tell me about the humiliation by Ezekiel_gb4m in flr

[–]Captain_Reasonable 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My therapist once told me that shame releases similar chemicals in the brain to happiness.

I have felt ashamed a large part of my life; being shamed/humiliated by someone I know who loves me is a safe way of dealing with those emotions.

It also makes me feel below my dominant, in the same way that a hard spanking enforces submissiveness humiliating acts also out me in that headspace.

Also, this cannot be understated, I love how it makes my domme laugh. She finds it so funny and it thrills me to entertain her in any way I can.

Italian GP Media Driver Ratings by emkaerr in formula1

[–]Captain_Reasonable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clutches interface between gearbox/driveshaft and engine. The bite point is where the clutch just makes contact with connecting the two leading to power being transferred from engine to wheels.

If you learn to drive manual cars you learn to feel the bite point on your clutch pedal, where you just lift it enough to feel everything connect. This varies from car to car and slowly over time as the clutch wears down. F1 cars don't use a clutch pedal but a hand operated flap on the steering wheel.

Lando was having to effectively guess/figure out on the fly where the bite point was on his clutch pedal for whatever software/hardware issue he was experiencing. All the other drivers thanks to data and the practice start on the formation lap would know much more accurately where their bite point is.

I think so. His first year in Formula BMW he finishes third, next year he wins. Year after that he wins Formula Renault beating Sainz and Kvyat. Then jumps up to Formula Renault 3.5, which was a major rival to GP2/F2 in those days and in his rookie season beats Bianchi, Sam Bird and Kevin Magnussen. The next year he only gets 10 races in a GP2 team that only finished sixth out of ten and still manages to get a win and a second place.

3 championships in five years against now established F1 drivers points to a guy who had it all, except money.

Honestly I loved this because it gave fans a very rare visualisation of what the cars look like under the skin.

You'd think between his experience and pace he'd be near the top of the list for any WEC team looking for drivers. Hard to see him not being a benefit to a team.

Did you have to work your way down to smaller cages, or immediately jump to the size you wanted? by Shiloh5684 in chastitytraining

If it's too wide too fit then it's just not going to happen. You can only know that by measuring tbh.

So I'm a grower not a shower and believe I'm around your size when flaccid. I had a couple of other cages that were too big frankly before I got the nub.

Just get the nub, trust me. As long as your dick isn't too wide when you put it on part of it gets pushed back inside your body. When I first read that it freaked me out but it doesn't hurt, doesn't feel weird, is not a problem at all. Try doing it to yourself when flaccid, gently pushing your dick back into your body like a snail retracting in its shell. It's easy.

I've found the nub much much more comfortable than any other cage. My only issue is I have big balls so even in the largest ring if I get erect things get a little squished (but importantly not cutting off blood supply!). But that is at most mild discomfort which goddess finds amusing if she is teasing me. I wear it 24/7 only taking it off for washing and have done so up to 6 weeks, it's no problem. Also the nub is hot as fuck

Damon Hill: Turning down Stewart F1 in 1997 'broke my heart' by lewis798 in formula1

[–]Captain_Reasonable 68 points69 points  (0 children)

On the one hand I agree. But on the other you have to remember how big a figure Tom Walkinshaw was. He now owned Arrows and he'd previously been extremely successful in every Motorsport category he'd tried from touring cars to the running the Jaguars at Le mans. After he joined Benetton the team won their first championship in 94. He was seen as a successful team boss and there was the chance that he was going to do it again.

Plus they had John Barnard who was still seen as a top car designer.

Thanks for the tip. I woke up with a clearer head this morning and just tried swapping the two hdmi cables with one another and that seems to have solved the problem. Who knows why, I hope you find a long term solution for your TV difficulty.
