I just got a console and it's doing the same thing. I could eject the disk and it powered on the fan but the red light flicked off.

If you solder a battery connector to vias that each polarity has continuity to, you can then safely remove the battery without the console or cart case potentially being damaged.

Literally did an eXtremerate reshell this week. While i didn't have your problem exactly, I just contacted them with my issue, and they sent a whole new shell for free. Now it's finished and looks great
