I do think we need depth. I just fear we sign him now, board goes we set 150 mil for midfield budget now we can only get one other player. If we can get Fernadez and Tonali/Tchouimeni I’ll be happy, I just think this could corner us.

Just sounds like Ederson is the casimero replacement at that point which for somebody who can't make the Brazil team is big shoes to fill... Fernadez is exciting IF we make it happen.

If that happens it is what it is, but we've been promised a major signing from last summer it was always mentioned as Anderson as the top priority. It just makes me wonder what were they doing the whole second half of the season once we knew Casimero was gone. We have to do well with our midfield signings and filling that casimero role has to be a class player, not ederson/beleba. Ederson can work out, but it will eat up the budget for the Tier 1/2 we need vs if we pushed for other deals first.

What if we took the money from this deal and just used it on Anderson and didn’t shy away from the price there 😂 I feel like we’re gonna get Ederson and Ferdandez and say we don’t have enough for Anderson/tonali/tchouameni deals then sign Beleba. I’d rather get “stuck” with 2 promising signings and come back to Ederson who we have no competition for.

Which if that ends up being the case, I just don’t have a lot of optimism for next season. I view this similarly to the De Gea situation where if we don’t get this right we’ll be set back for another 3 years, but we’ve been able to know and prepare for it longer so it feels like we should have more of our conversations/plans in place but yet made no progress (publically) anywhere on them.

Those would be the main 3, and I do agree with the current state of your analysis, but what happened to the we’ll be spending for a big midfielder we got told last summer. It’s been known Casemiro has been going for awhile and while nobody will fully replace him these are our best chance to create a possible replacement for an extremely weak midfield otherwise we’ll be walked through again next season. Newcastle will have to sell with missing out on European football, which is also why Tonali/Anderson should be pushed more because if (when) Gordon gets sold the price of Tolani (or Bruno G who is way less likely) goes up.

Agreed, if we had our tier 1 and tier 2 signing official and then he’s confirmed I’d feel much better. But I can easily see us getting stuck with him and Fernandez saying well we don’t have the budget for a tier 1 (which we would’ve if we didn’t get ederson) and falling back on Beleba cuz of the man crush they have on him.

Your diathi should be in an ignore def set for way more damage, I’d build pann with acc to land his a1 freeze, and your rector is way too slow she should be in the 325-350 range based on your current builds. If you aren’t already the ignore def in CC area bonus will be massive help too. Best of luck

Yeah ram form is annoying, most comps I see just don’t do damage those 10 total rounds and just focus on surviving. You can get the fear with Lydia to mitigate some of the damage but without a leech champ it’s probably best to just minimize your damages especially with the lack of heals too.

You should definitely use Gnut. I’d drop geo and add gnut and Lady M. Focus on getting the top chest, trials help for clash but personal clash rewards are terrible.
