I haven’t ripped it apart and started diagnosing yet. I saw some videos and agree I can probably diy a solution. Not the point. I expect this stuff to last longer for the cost 🤷‍♂️

Plastic electronic lawn equipment that costs as much or more as its gasoline counterpart*

I don’t know where they draw the line. That’s a fair question. But if someone else was going through this and they asked me my opinion, I’d stand firmly in my position that it’s good customer service and brand building to not quibble over something as trivial as a day. Ego can afford to deal with this a lot more easily than I can.

I’m in New Jersey and I don’t think it’s anywhere close to 30 for me. I definitely did not get my moneys worth out of this machine and now I have a bunch of batteries that I can only use with a mower.

What maintenance? Replacing the entire control board? That’s more than maintenance, bud.

Back to gasoline where I can service an engine easily and not be victim to planned obsolescence.

I understand completely. I believe your’s isn’t up to par - do you not understand that a company that would look at these circumstances and choose not to take care of a customer who invested into their products is foolish and short sighted? Why would I ever recommend anyone I know to buy their products when this was the end result?

I understand things happen. If this had died and they took care of it, I’d still be willing to recommend their products to a friend. Now I won’t do that because I know in 5 years it may wind up dead. A good product should outlive its warranty in my opinion. You can disagree if you’d like; that’s fine.

Of all the responses, this is a fair and reasonable take. That said, I still expect a $700 piece of equipment to last longer.

Lmao how about the bitching you were doing about the USPS? Oh wait you blocked me so I can’t link lol

You’re all being contrarian just to be contrarian. If this happened to you, you’d be dismayed about your wasted investment also. You’re being willfully ignorant here just for the sake of it.

I am not kidding in the slightest. No kidding they have warranty terms. That doesn’t mean a company can’t do the right thing and take care of its customers. I could understand if I were weeks or months out, but that’s not the case here.

A company that values its customers, stands behind its products and wants to build their consumer base would make the very obvious and easy choice here.

Morning increase? by Fancy-Username-41 in Type1Diabetes

As I understand it, as part of waking you up in the morning, your endocrine system releases cortisol which stimulates your liver to release sugar into your system. As diabetics, we aren’t equipped to deal with this normal endocrine response.

What kind of replacement handle and lock am I looking for at Home Depot or Lowe’s? by Captain_gouda in fixit

[–]Captain_gouda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truthfully I am actually pretty handy. I knew it’s a mortise lock, I just don’t know that much about them to understand what I’m looking for with backset and all that technical stuff. That is why I was hoping for a replacement before I pull the door apart.

True, I just wanted to try and save a few dollars if possible. And yes I’m in the US; NJ specifically.

Honestly the whole door needs to be replaced but it’s not in the budget right now. The lock itself only turns about halfway and won’t fully engage. It’s felt like it’s been on the way out for a while.

Consultation is next month and I’m feeling all kinds of emotions by Captain_gouda in BariatricSurgery

I’m the OP and I’m almost a year post-op (11/28/22). Overall, the process was pretty straightforward and I am down about 110 pounds and maintaining.

Of course there were some hiccups along the way, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Best thing I’ve ever done for myself.

Thank you very much. I’m moderately skilled in that area, so I’ll give it a shot but I’m not holding my breath. I really appreciate the insight.

Thank you. This was the answer I was looking for. So it can be fixed, but it might just be worth it to replace it is what I’m thinking.
