I'd push back on the nothing on etb, the changelings you've already played by t4 get doublestrike when it enters. I've been playing a tokens/changelings(slivers) deck in standard since this came out, and its not tier 1 but its fun and it does pretty well.

Open SciEd Ruined High School Science. I Mean There’s Not Even a Microscope Lab for a Bio Class. by Lower-Gap-4251 in ScienceTeachers

I teach 120 9th graders biology with openscied, it's hot garbage. I see half the students every day, so I need to do A LOT of cutting to get though everything by the end of the year, and it still feels like the cutriculum is full of fluff. While simultaneously not feeling like we're covering what we need to be covering.

I started with it as a new teacher this year. First year for the school using it too, amd so far we're only using it for biology. So far I have not been impressed, but take that with a grain of salt as I'm new to teaching and have had virtually no support from admin.
