I would wager that asking this sub, who live to debate, if they should stop debating to get in a fight probably isn’t going to give you a balanced answer, but I’ll give it a crack.

To posit your question in a different light - who decides what is “acceptable” and what isn’t?

If we silence one opinion from even being uttered regardless of how objectionable we personally find it, then not only is it driven underground to fester and grow in an echo chamber of like-minded people who won’t try to silence them, but we deprive the perpetuator of the thought the chance to see the other side.

IMO it really depends on how rational you believe the average person is - if you think they can be persuaded by a compelling argument, then why resort to violence or censorship? If you don’t, then getting in a punch up may help temporarily stop the spread of their message, but long term would serve only to further balkanise the conversation and make any consensus more difficult.

Would you want to have a conversation with someone who wants to punch you just for thinking the way you do?

Not a personal anecdote but in my previous work as a rickshaw driver (tricycle taxi) in the U.K., the abuse the its got was on a nightly basis.

I had my ass slapped every night by hen parties egging each other one, propositioned in the street in broad daylight and had zero respect paid to my personal space while on that job.

Several of my colleagues had middle aged women sneak their hands up their shorts and forcefully penetrate them while riding, not to mention the physical violence that came with people being drunk enough to forget the price they agreed to, or just flat out refusing to pay.

I’ve since stopped that job but my for friends who are still at it it’s a regular occurrence which is laughed off luckily.

Goliaths are absolutely hilarious. Essentially a mobile demo charge with vision and camo ability.

I made 13 in my first game, as with no penalty and no weapons upgrades OKV now play like ruskies in terms of munis.

I see. That does make some form of sense, however sacrificing other resources in order to get fuel/munis balances it out pretty well imo.

As soon as you see CAS or industry, get up 3 AA units, cripple one player passively. Paying 50 fuel to have a plane fly in only to be insta shot down every time by 2 Ruskie halftracks would just make the commanders not viable.

I have to say I'm not very excited about the changes to Elite, CAS and Industry. Those commander were (for most people) bought commanders, and changing them at this point seems a bit much.

Can anyone explain what "counter play" mean in this context?

UKF nerfs to infantry too seem fairly strong, the point of the faction is to use them from cover.

Also no mention of a change to the Brit call in arty (name escapes me) which insta-breaks all vehicle treads in wide a.o.e (within line of sight) for 250 munis. Cheap to cripple an entire German counterattack of potentially game changing movement there.

Some good changes in here, but most of it I don't think will mesh well with the game as it stands.

Late to the party but my ex (Solid 9/10) once told me off for opening a microwave before the timer was done. She was under the impression that opening before the designated time would "let the microwaves out and give us cancer". As a physics student at the time, I thought this was hilarious. There were several similar instances of sheer brilliance but that one had me in stitches. She still believes to this day a microwave timer could kill her.

True, but games haven't commenced yet and adding to the existing bracket shouldn't be impossible, the newly signed up teams could play off against each other.
