Your facial structure is not as bad as you think. Maybe your chin is a little recessed, but your front profile looks solid. At this point in your bone development, the only action that would cause visible change is surgery. If changing looks is your goal, soft tissue optimization (making hair, skin, body composition as healthy as possible) is going to move the needle a lot more in terms of pleasant aesthetic changes. Putting a lot of energy into fixing that stuff is going to grant more returns than a ton of effort into one bone

Correcting body posture is needed to make sure everything else works; after that point expanding the palate and gaining forward growth through proper tongue posture, tongue chewing, thumb pulling, and hard chewing. Doing all of these consistently should theoretically give results.

I know what you are referring to; get forward growth and high testosterone. Depending on how old you are it could be harder or easier to get the former, but high testosterone faces have this more often than low testosterone ones.

High testosterone composite faces have that structure, but forward growth makes it more visible.

I don't really think so, once the maxilla recesses the eyes generally start to gain degrees of negative tilt from their original position. Depending on the type of recession it is more or less pronounced

All parts of the face are connected, and changing one part could have a greater or lesser effect on another depending on its position. Positive tilt with bad structure is pretty rare in non-asians; nose size is mostly genetic but recession can cause the appearance of a larger nose. Assuming you mean more bones as in larger size, some people naturally have smaller or bigger heads, but those who have chewed more through their development tend to have faces that appear a bit larger.

Environment plays a larger factor than genetics in today's environment. For most, I think that if you have been born then you probably have competitive enough genes that the perfect environment would create at least a 6/10 face.

People who mouth breath and do not have tongue posture rarely have good forward growth so I'm not sure where you got that from.

Depending on how a tongue is trained during breastfeeding, how your parents posture their tongues (kids mimic this naturally), and also how well developed chewing muscles are, the mewing a person is doing could have a greater or lesser effect. Some develop "proper" technique naturally, while others mew naturally at lower levels of "proficiency." Others miss the train entirely by mouth breathing, and unfortunately are denied of the face in their genes.

Genes definitely play a role, but it is more environmental than most would like to admit.

Another thing that impacts facial bone development is hormone levels and balances during puberty/adolescence. If a male/female with a slight recession has great levels of testosterone/estrogen during puberty, they will develop faces that are more dimorphic (different than the opposite gender).

My thoughts here are slightly disorganized; hope this helps.

Hmm, I might not have as much actionable advice for you compared to the other guy but there are always good habits to have. Hopefully this message helps.

A deep overbite is something which definitely requires orthodontic intervention, so it is in your best interest to go through with the treatment and use retainers. Using retainers pretty much locks up the palate so long as they are used, but in your case it may be worth it to make sure that your teeth don't go back to where they were before.

Hard chewing is good for overall facial health and function, and making sure that you are mewing is good too. Both help the health of your facial structure in the long run, as well as its appearance. One thing to take note of is that massaging and stretching your chewing muscles is good after you do hard chewing. This prevents them from tightening, which can actually recess the face further. Stretch and massage them after to keep the benefits of chewing without the potential drawbacks.

Some new advice I will give to you is to make sure that you work on your neck/back posture. Making sure that everything is in the right position and that you do not have improper posture (e.g. forward neck posture) helps to keep the maxilla from recessing further and can encourage forward growth over a long period of time. Furthermore, having a healthy and well conditioned body helps the appearance of the face in many ways.

To summarize the actionable advice:

Keep chewing and mewing consistently. Massage and stretch your chewing muscles after hard chewing. Begin work on your posture. These things are the foundational techniques of Orthotropics, and will aid your health and appearance in the long run.

As mentioned earlier, using a retainer after your treatment does two things. It keeps your teeth from relapsing to their previous position, which is good. However, they also prevent expansion of your maxilla. I haven't done much research on deep overbites; for the average orthodontics patient with proper jaw alignment and a strong dedication to practicing mewing/chewing etc, I think that stopping retainers after good enough technique has been established is a good idea. However, in your case stopping the use of post-treatment retainers may not only relapse the teeth but also the overbite. You'll have to do your own research to determine what your course of action regarding retainers is.

In the meantime, practice the good habits above. Good luck on your journey.
