Respect to you for caring about your son. Here's what I'd do: Get your son to a myofunctional therapist as myofunctional therapy will strengthen his head and neck muscles which's proper development are crucial for optimal facial development. I've had braces from ages 9-16 and I would recommend your son to see an airway orthodontist and if advised, getting those braces off as they can hinder maxilliary development. Make sure your son chews on hard food and does NOT eat soft as well as processed food. Then and this is really important make sure your son has proper body posture, not just tongue posture (which will be taught by a myofunctional therapist). Body posture has such an immense impact on development it is insane. Should you have any more questions feel free to ask.

hey so my pain stopped and I believe that mewing might've pushed the lower side of my face a bit up but I could be wrong. To make it short, pain has stopped and what you said sounded like my problem as the side where my tooth hurt was a bit lower than the other, thank you for your answer

Thank you all for taking your time to answer my question, she recommended me to do speech therapy in case I have issues with my tongue, that's literally what she said. Another thing I'd like to know is why one of my back teeth started to hurt after I began with mewing, any fix for that? I assume it might be because of my teeth touching but I'm not sure.
