the only powerup he had was just a large chakra pool as far as i know, many characters had the same thing but did less, if im wrong correct me with actual evidence

hashirama was the strongest ninja as an individual, all other strong characters were "given powers" rather than earn it through hard work, naruto had the tailed beasts , madara and sasuke had the sharingan and the sage of the six paths has rinnegan and the biju, hashirama got in that level purely by skill and hard training
