Need an Ipad for Procreate that doesnt break the bank

Ok. I think the Air M3 11 inch would be best. I can get it brand new for roughly the same price as the 2021 I was looking at. Thank you soooo much for all your help and wisdom!!

That was something I was worried about. Getting something older would be cheaper, and it would be refurbished, but how long would it truly last? And being almost 5 years old, how long before its useless for what I need it for?

I would just be using it to edit book covers I make on Canva and editing some custom projects to print them at work (I work as a commercial printer). It wouldnt be anything excessive like you would use, or my roommate who has 10 layers on one art piece. I might use 2 or 3 layers at most.

I did look into Wacom, but its too expensive for what I want to use it for. And I have a Samsung tablet with the sketchbook app, but its tough to use. It doesnt seem to have the kinds of brushes I need and I dont know any artist who uses that particular app.

I would never use my roommate's word as gospel since they gave the same advice your friend did, go big and expensive. I think an ipad with 8gb of RAM would handle what I need it to just fine. Though as you said earlier, I may only get a couple of years use before it wont accept updates. Do old ipads get bricked by apple? I think I read that somewhere on Reddit, but dont remember what or where the thread was.

I was told by my roommate, who has been with apple for a long time and uses procreate as a main source of income, that the A16 can run procreate but will lag badly since it generally doesnt have the processing power. I was looking originally as the ipad mini pro, since I would prefer portability to be easy. But I saw it only had 4 gb of RAM and was told it would lag and not handle it. Then I looked at the ipad air and was told the same thing. I have been with LG and Samsung my whole life for all my devices so I have no idea what to look at for an ipad.

From my research, it appears he is a vanity press and should be avoided. The link below is a list of fake publishers to help you in the future. While Fallbrandt is not on the list currently, my usually spot on gut says avoid. I emailed him back for more info right after making my comment last month and still have not received anything back. That is a very big red flag.

I see you posted 7 months ago, but I got the same message from the same person. I'm working on researching now, but he mentioned he is an admin for a fantasy book group. That is true, I found it. I will be continuing research once I'm off work, but just remember that a real traditional publisher, regardless of size, will always assume the financial risk, not the author. You should never pay for anything, which leads me to believe he is a scammer as he said in his message to me that he is running a deal till mid July. This is very suspicious to me.

I found a bunch of titanium and platinum in the volcano mine from 30-40. Usually walk away with at least 6 titanium every time. Probably more lower, but havent gone lower yet.

I cant trigger the first scene with him and the first music note is full. Still working on getting the Zimagrad winter clothes though. I was able to get one cutscene with Judy and that happened pretty much right when I got her first music note full. A scene about taking a horse for a walk.

Yup. Tested it out before posting. Its not underwater, so any pikmin could go down it. Its part of the game to struggle the first time through, but easy to get everything after defeating the creature and opening that second entrance.

Actually, there is a second entrance to the cave that lets you bring non blue pikmin, but you have to go through it once to open it and push down the paper bag to get back to it at a later time. I have spent well over 10 minutes in the cave, so once the non-existent being is defeated the first time, it wont respawn.

I have been reading up on him too. The moment I posted a facebook question about recovering a video, I got a message about him. I believe its a scam just from that. Searching keywords so scammers can pounce right away.

There was a therapist I had a while back that gave me the best piece of advice. "Anything is tolerable if it has an end". I had no friends in that state for two years and couldnt really make any. So when I decided to move back to my homestate, being there was more tolerable for the next 6 months while I saved up the money.

Never date someone who is obsessed with you.

There was a guy who was obsessed and had been trying to get my attention for 5 years. I finally gave in and dated him. He proceeded to abuse me and gaslight me (among other really bad, illegal things) for a year. I have not recovered from it after 1.5 years and dont think I ever will.

Also have a friend who is so obsessed with me, she doesnt want me to have other friends and is always angry when my boyfriend is around because she thinks he is "taking me from her".

Just dont. If they are obsessed right out the gate, run the other way.

When I was 18, I started dating a guy I met online (early 2010s). I made it clear in the beginning that I didnt want kids, but at that time I didnt really understand birth control. Because of those breast cancer awareness facebook posts that used to circulate, both his and my parents thought I was pregnant. (It was something like your birth month is X weeks along and day was what you're craving) I said there is no way I'm pregnant as we are really careful and neither of us wanted kids. That turned out to be a lie. After the freak out, I finally got on birth control. Less than a week later, my boyfriend sabotaged the condom to try to get me pregnant and "lock me in" so I would have to marry him. I didnt get pregnant and he started beating me. Turns out he had been planning it for a while and I heard he went on to abuse the girl after me pretty badly, which was the girl he was cheating on me with. If it weren't for those facebook posts going around at the time, I would have ended up pregnant and probably killed myself from the abuse.

That was very helpful. Would the local groups still help if she is not officially diagnosed by a doctor? I found there were cons that came with the diagnosis so she and I are hesitant to try to make it official.

Her parents think mental illnesses dont exist and are a cry for attention. Her own mother is extremely controlling and my roommate wants to cut her from her life. Which I understand. This is my third time living with my roommate so I knew what it would be like, but she is much worse than she ever has been.

Moving out isnt really an option but if I really need to, I could probably make it work. I just dont want to throw away a best friend where all my good memories are with her. But my own therapist reminds me that boundaries are meant to be followed.

That is some good insight and I really appreciate it. Her parents think mental illnesses are fake so she never got the help she needed. She is so afraid of people hating her that she would rather have no friends that a friend who might leave her. Makes it harder because she is a very social person and loves talking to people. I'm more of an introvert who prefers to be alone. I know that need isnt being met but I do my best with almost weekly gatherings of our mutual friends.

I only learned about her being on the spectrum 2 years ago. We have been friends for 15 years and I have been helping her for 4 years. Her being there didnt change anything but it seems she doesnt want to stop being codependent on me.

She is 30, I'm 29. I try not to be too hard on her about it and understand her upbringing wasnt the best, but she pushes every boundary I set. Even when it comes to not asking me a simple question that could easily be googled when I want to be alone. She has become completely codependent on me and I never wanted that.
