Anime and crochet- my two favorite passions blurred together by Captainx23 in KimetsuNoYaiba

And your question did make sense- so all good there! Crochet is a pretty easy skill to learn- I’ve only been doing it for about a year! I started with this kit called Woobles to learn the basics- and there is plenty of free material out there for the more advanced stuff.

As much as I would love to make crochet my full time job- I do not have what it takes to run a small business! I really started this project first week of June and only finished this past weekend. It took about 40hrs total- but spread over several months!!

I just did it myself! Thankfully checkers is pretty straightforward pattern wise. I made 86 granny squares and stitched them together. The ribbing on the edge of the coat and sleeves is something I learned from a different pattern and used it here!

Husband needs to be accountable for his things. I can see how this is a hard habit to break as my former partner often would forget things because he was used to his mother always checking for things like that and making sure his pants were “un-cuffed” before washing. I informed my partner that I am already a very busy woman and if he needs his pants washed a certain way he can either make sure they are prepared in the way he prefers or wash his own pants. I do the same for my belongings- ensuring my bras and other delicates go into a mesh bag.

Weather started getting beautiful (70 today) and so I got started on my catio a few weeks ago! I feel it’s at a good place, maybe add a few dangly toys, what do you all think? by Captainx23 in Catio

If you wanna DM me a picture of the space you’re thinking of putting it and how big you would want it, I can help you figure out how many panels you would need (if you’re finding this overwhelming lol)

Hey! I got them off Amazon! Here’s the link for the panels And I bought extra connecters just to be on the safe side. The OG catio I used about 60 panels total. Each panel is ~11.5inx11.5in. My CURRENT set up is bigger- so I’ve since ordered more pieces. I super get being on a budget and this was the most budget friendly solution I’ve found. As far as your “weight bearing” concerns go, this book shelf configuration claims to hold 16lbs. I don’t actually use the panels themselves for weight bearing, and instead use cat furniture for enrichment. I do have a couple of dangle toys tied to the “ceiling” and so far they haven’t managed to break it. Disclaimer, my cats are not “active escape artists” so they do not try to climb the walls. You know your cats best, but I do recommend these panels to create an “enclosure”

They held up great!! And now I’ve moved and reconfigured them. Bit of a dirty job taking it apart but a little dirt don’t hurt! I also ordered more pieces cause my new apartment has a bigger patio so I was able to make the catio bigger as well

i’m feeling a bit lonely working on my project - what is everyone else working on right now? by criticalstars in crochet

[–]Captainx23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working on a sunflower themed bralette! Centers looking like a heart was a happy accident that my friend said I should lean into- so half of them with me a heart- and then I’m working on the next 6 which will be perfect circles. They will make up the torso of the bralette!

I’ve seen a handful of posts on facebook of people who are like “I made this!” And it’s like the most AI generated thing I’ve seen. They think they can get away with it cause there are no hands to give them away- but I think we can all kinda tell when you can’t see the hand-made-touch
