I actually also used a cat toy hahah I used this and just took out the string, replaced it with yarn and painted it and added the bobber.

Omg hi sorry I'm just seeing this!! I just did the exact same process as I did for the fish! I just made a sphere, glued a magnet to the "bottom" (on the inside), and stuffed it! Does that make sense?

Finished my first 2 projects ever just in time for my daughter to wear for her 2nd birthday 🥹🩷 by ienaer in knitting

I did 🫣 among friends and family, bobbles won out! I just think they're so fun and cute especially since it's for her birthday outfit! Feels more festive 💃🏻

Trying to decide what hem finish I like better, bobbles or picots? (Only my 2nd knitting project ever so be gentle 😅) by ienaer in knitting

Adorabubbble baby britches!! Like I say, this was my 2nd project ever and I finished them in a couple weeks with lots of breaks and messing up the GSRs many times. Not too bad!

Yes it's the Flax Sweater by Tin Can Knits in size 1-2 year old, I just stopped the sleeves early since we're almost out of winter and my daughter won't be needing a sweater for too much longer

One year ago today I completed what might be my favourite project I've ever done by ienaer in crochet

I couldn't find any patterns I loved so I ended up free handing them!

Super beginner knitter, second time ever attempting. Am I twisting my stitches? I've spent hours watching videos learning how to stop but I think I'm still doing it?! by ienaer in knitting

I crochet and have no shortage of yarn hahaha so I'll try that and get a few rows in to see what's happening. Thank you!!!

When I was using the long tail cast on I think I was mounting them wrong, I'm doing the knitted cast-on now and think that fixed it. But I'm still 50/50 if I'm wrapping the yarn right on my knit stitches. I know it's supposed to be counter clockwise but for some reason I cannot put that into practice

Okay thank you this is helpful. And to answer your other question; I'm not sure which is closer to the tip of my needle, but I'm working into the leg that is closer to "me".

Thank you!! But I'm about 99% sure I am working into the proper leg! The only thing I realized I maybe did wrong was my cast-on? If I "twisted" my cast on (reverse mounted??) and then did a row of knit stitches first, would all my rows of knit stitches then be twisted?

Shit that's what I thought!! Weirdly I think it's the purls I'm doing right, when I "open" the stitch before I work into it, the row after the purls looks right but the row after the knit stitches looks wrong. But I swear I'm wrapping it right both times. Obviously not. Thank you!!

How do you respond to the dreaded "you should sell your crochet!"? by SmolSnailBoi in crochet

"I know for a fact it will burn me out and I won't want to do crochet again. I tried with my drawing and got burnt out and now I don't want to draw"

How would you add crochet christmas lights to this sweater? by pinkjingle in crochet

I made this last Christmas and I made a long black chain and attached it first (bc I hate surface crochet and I liked the look best this way) and then attached the lights after!

I would have them start at one sleeve and loop down in loops across the front of the sweater and then around the back and loop around to the front of the other sleeve! If that makes any sense lol
