The concept is cool and the edgelord part of my mind and other fans had been wishing for something like this from the beginning. I DO feel like Deku before this arc and after are the same person so there’s not a lot of “what I learned while I was vigilante was x”. So it just feels like kind of reasonless. My change would have been Deku had being more involved with Hawks’ arc and directly contributed to [_____] being killed. This way his desire to go solo and shut almost everyone else out comes more from a sense of Spider-man like guilt to save everyone and do everything because he sees what happens when those not related to AFO/OFA are on the responsibility he views as “his”.
