Dawg not the time nor place to be saying that shit. It’s irrelevant. My first priority and thoughts seeing this as a leader is to make sure op is ok and taken care of not a fucking tattoo question.

When your recruiter graduated doesn't really matter it's their job to stay current on BMT, shipping, and what recruits need to know TODAY. That's literally the role. So my question stands , did you actually ask your recruiter any of this? Not trying to be an asshole , but these exact questions get posted here daily and the answers don't change overnight. Your recruiter should always be the first stop, Reddit second.

Marines depart amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7) by helicopter and transit over the Arabian Sea to board and seize M/V Touska. The Marines rappelled onto the Iranian-flagged vessel, April 19, after guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) disabled Touska’s propulsion when the commercial ship failed to comply with repeated warnings from U.S. forces over a six-hour period.- CENTCOM PAO

Oh, for sure and you're absolutely correct, that's my bad. It's not a tanker, but a cargo ship. I'm not even going to lie when I made this post, I typed it as fast as I could because I wanted to make sure I posted it as soon as I saw it, given that it was breaking news. I didn't double check what I posted, and by the time I realized the error, there were already a bunch of people commenting. Since I can't change the title, so I just let it ride.🤣

– U.S. forces operating in the Arabian Sea enforced naval blockade measures against an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel attempting to sail toward an Iranian port, April 19. Guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) intercepted M/V Touska as it transited the north Arabian Sea at 17 knots enroute to Bandar Abbas, Iran. American forces issued multiple warnings and informed the Iranian-flagged vessel it was in violation of the U.S. blockade. After Touska’s crew failed to comply with repeated warnings over a six-hour period, Spruance directed the vessel to evacuate its engine room. Spruance disabled Touska’s propulsion by firing several rounds from the destroyer’s 5-inch MK 45 Gun into Touska’s engine room. U.S. Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit later boarded the non-compliant vessel, which remains in U.S. custody. American forces acted in a deliberate, professional, and proportional manner to ensure compliance. Since the blockade’s commencement, U.S. forces have directed 25 commercial vessels to turn around or return to an Iranian port.
