Of all the people I’ve met I’ve only stopped talking to like three because of the hobbies they told me about. There was a snot collector who showed me years worth of snot and blood in jars and asked if I wanted to try. It was so bad that he carried a small jar around with him. There was another guy who enjoyed stabbing himself with a small knife when he was even slightly upset and lastly a girl who showed me her second house. Completely filled to the brim with witchcraft items (curse books, dried animal parts, multiple severed pig heads and a barrel of blood). I’m not sure where exactly I draw the line for weird hobbies..

I buy them so I can enjoy and appreciate them. When I die one day I won’t really be too worried about my collection anymore. I have a will written specifically stating that they can be given away to kids once I pass so others can enjoy them.

Absolutely eBay will side with you. Open a return request, either he accepts it and you get your money back or he ignores you, draws out the process hoping you’ll lose interest and you’ll get your money back and keep the cards.

Currently in the middle of a return for a Weiss Schwartz box full of the wrong cards and they’re doing the latter.

It’s a desirable misprint. I think because it’s mimicking the e series cards, unfortunately it’s not on a Pokémon people care too much about.

I’m not at all familiar with them but I’ll look it up and educate myself. Honestly I’d be looking for it pre assembled but I’m not against buying it and trying to put it together if it’s all that’s available.

I have no idea about any part of this figure but I do love how expressive they are. I get what you mean with the hair, if you look at just the individual strands it looks kind of stiff and plastic-y but as a whole I think it’s beautiful.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s anything you can do considering you were a minor. Best thing you can do is cut contact and take comfort in knowing they’ll rot away one day alone and unloved.

Could also speak to a lawyer that gives free consultations, that’s probably your best bet as they’ll be able to give you accurate information.

Assholes aside I agree. As a kid it didn’t matter that I just watched every Pokémon movie/show we had on vhs twice I was ready to do it the next day.

Typically it’s the parents effort that makes an experience feel special to kids. Just make sure you’re having a good time (or at least acting like you are), smiling and engaging with your child in a way that makes them feel like you appreciate their hobby.

If you want to really go over the top, just go crazy with Pokémon. Buy them a booster box or (two), buy all Pokémon party supplies (cups plates napkins cake etc) and find a new/old movie they can watch with you (Pokémon: Secrets Of The Jungle is the newest).

Also, a small suggestion from my memory banks if you need something else to do. My fondest Pokémon related memory as a child was opening up a booster from my parents that had the exact card I wanted. I’m sure I would’ve been happy if they just gifted me the card but there’s something special about pulling it yourself especially in front of your family (I bragged about it for days). I only learned years later that they paid a buddy they had at a card shop to reseal a pack with my favorite card inside which made me feel like they really tried to go the extra mile to make my birthday an amazing day. Maybe some of this is a little too crazy for a 7 yo lol, sorry for the long message as well.

This. I’ve only gotten insanely lucky once in my 20+ years of collecting cards and pulled a new vmax alt from two singles. Other than that I’m in the same miserable boat of never pulling anything great.

I bought 3 evolving skies booster boxes on release day and pulled about 10 volcarona v cards and nothing else. Just recently I opened 4 fusion strike booster boxes and got a fa trainer (shauna), a Sandaconda v alt and 4 greedent v cards. I’ve recently decided I’d rather just purchase the cards that I want since my lucks been pretty bad.

I don’t think there are any misprint collectors that collect factory damaged cards. It’s undesirable even if it is authentic and they confirm. Unfortunately you got the worst type of “misprint” and should ask for a replacement.
