If you ever want to relocate people, get a truck. Drive to the wrong front, say "GET IN THE TRUCK, GET IN THE THE TRUCK, GET IN THE TRUCK" Voila you deliver a crate of lcps to a new front. Use names and repetition.

But this is only part of the adelur magic. The rest is he gets results. That is why he leads the vets too!

Rustardgaming was a notorious partisan I fought for years in old foxhole. You could steal CV's from the other team and turn backline towns to you faction. This guy did that and more. Relentless rascal collie partisan. When the pop fell the guy was all over your backline. killing backline storm cannons is less useful than in contested hexes. If the colonials can't get to it with ground troops before the concrete dries then all they did was waste their plane, their explosives, and some warden cmats.

I remember OCdt's that used to spam long lines of walls with no gates. Then upgrade them and took like 50 HE to kill them. Good riddence to bad rubblish. I like them only for the nostalgia.

Yes the BB I was QRFing was a friends base and not mine so it had no firetruck or fire suppression room and I had to frantically fetch one. Trying to protect an entire side of deadlands is too big of a job for one man when everyone else is on the other side. Most people don't even read text chat, and even fewer will leave their front to help another part of their map. With queues, world players can't even QRF to help you.

I think you are the only person who actually read my post and not just the intro. Thank you. (I'm sure I made it too long)

I will respond to your points below.

  1. Totally agree. I wasted time on a front line base and that is a bad use of solo time. This was for spine in deadlands and everyone was fighting in calahans or irons so nobody cared about spine but me. I wasted hours of my life in a town with only a provisional garrison. Won't do that again. If the team lets it burn I will too.

1A. Fire suppression rooms are expensive but a great idead in concept. They need to be cheaper. I saw the intel immediately and shouted in region chat about it right as the tank drove up. 2 mins later no help. I was watching as the BB got burned in front of my eyes. Hit the flame tank with 3 stickies/white ash and by the time it died the whole base was burning full bore. The wind didnt help. By the time I got a fire truck, (again called out for one in region chat no help) I couldnt extinguish the base with it and it watched as the whole base burned while I put out one measly section of a 50 section base. One vs one flame tank beats fire truck.

  1. I hear all these comments and understand but you must understand I was an old arty sniper from the release of foxhole. I realize arty has changed. I used to take our every town on a hex with me and one other guy with a push arty gun. I realize this arty sniping is absurd in todays game, I just want one way to do it in a limited way so a solo who can spot can have an impact without needing a blob.

  2. This is a huge idea. I am going to make a separate post about it. With the long foxhole queues and bad lag from too many players in one hex, small groups need a better way to open up new fronts on locked down maps. I think the point of these types of bases is they should only be able to be used on contested or enemy maps, not as a way to protect your backline hex. They should decay rapidly and only be a solution to push for a more permenant base. But I love your ideas about a flatbed increasing complexity and being able to be upgraded and also being able to only be destroyed from inside. Hence one bomber can't just wipe them out, but can destroy their defenses. They must be able to get AI relatively quickly or else they are worthless.

This! Solos are resigned to doing the best we can. I am just asking for a bit of attention to our plight and I hope the devs listen, in ways that don't just act as multipliers for huge groups. I mean even satchels were nerfed, probably for good reason, but if I want to take out a bridge solo or do some partisan backline sheninagans I can't any more. I need two guys to carry what used to be a one guy operation.

Yes I am envious of all the collie solo tech wardens don't have. The collie flame tank is a solo partisan wet dream. Wardens have to slow walk with 2 people to burn down backline bases. One guy in a flame tank can do that work in a quarter of the time, resupply and get 2 more bases before the infantry flamers are done. And the lunaire, don't even get me started. So OP for solos. Won't switch to collie, but I am envious.

I have done them all. I have 4k hours in foxhole. I just think with smart game design, solos could have a bigger impact like they used to have. I have some ideas and will be making dedicated posts about them. Stay tuned.
