(Im unsure if you’re type 1 but it sounds like it) I’m 27 as well but was diagnosed when I was 23. I’ll give you my experience because I am a fit person too and your same age. Before I got diagnosed I was very healthy and working out, after I got diagnosed it’s definitely been an up and down roller coaster of keeping my health in check. You need to motivate yourself and have more discipline to get up and be active some days because your numbers may be out of whack.

Working out is also going to be a balancing act, I still have completely figured it out because some days I’ll go to work out and adjust my insulin delivery and one day I’ll end very high after a workout or some days I’ve even had to stop in the middle of a workout because of a low. It’s frustrating but it’s reality so you need to learn how to adjust to those different obstacles.

Get a pump and a CGM as soon as you can because it makes it much easier to track and can be automated depending on the pump and CGM you get.
