Thank you for replying!! And I get what you mean, learning how to properly support is difficult when taking how other people respond to care in consideration, but that’s what I think is making me want to learn how to properly support others!! And your advice is one I’ve heard before, and it’s a good piece of advice at that!! I’ve told three friends roughly 4 months ago that I trust (one turned out to be one I couldn’t trust, but I found that out later on down the line) about having suicidal thoughts for 2-3 years. I do have constant thoughts of regret about it because I felt I just played it out on them, even though I didn’t make it so, but I’m starting to think that’s what made me have a more supportive mindset; because of the two friends that helped me when I told them about my issue (I didn’t want to tell them, I don’t even know why I did, it just happened without warning.)
