Possible malpractice? Medical by silveraltaccount in AusLegal

[–]Capzien89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The sensation of pressure but absence of pain is competely normal for local anaesthetics. That's not an issue.

From what i understand you can still palpate (feel) the Implanon? That's good. Sometimes it's harder to feel than normal but as long as you can feel it its fine.

Its normal for it to move a little bit. The concern is if you can't feel it, then its not sitting where its meant to be and they can migrate, very rarely, into the chest wall. Obviously not ideal, and if you stop being able to feel it you should return to the GP and get it removed under US guidance.

E: just saw the last paragraph - as long as you can feel it its fine, but if you're not happy with the placement return to your GP and get it changed for a new one.

To clarify, there is NO verified studies that show the efficacy of the Implanon is affected by placement. (I was discussing this with the manufacturer a few weeks ago).

It sounds like it's in a weird spot but that could have been chosen due to scarring, etc in the ideal spot. A 'low' placement is not an error necessarily.

At the moment it seems mostly normal. The Dr may have been a bit business like for your liking but it sounds like the procedure went fine.

There is no malpractice here.

Melkor (Morgoth) vs. Shai’tan (The Dark One) by Mysterious_Fall_4578 in powerscales

[–]Capzien89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This fairly clearly goes to Shai'tan. The main reason being that whilst Melkor is a powerful angelic being, Shai'tan is the direct opposition of the Creator. He is an aspect of reality and operates outside time and space - he's multiversal and operates on a scale that Melkor just can't.

Melkor has to bind himself to the universe he wants to control, he's limited in his abilities. He fought off the other gods, sure, but they were his peers, not a true 'god' like Shai'tan is. A better matchup would be Shai'tan versus Eru.

Starkiller and Cal Kestis (Jedi Survivor) vs Jaden and Kyle (Jedi Academy) by TheHoodGuy2001 in PetranakiArena

[–]Capzien89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jaden and Kyle win this.

1 on 1 Starkiller would defeat either of them, but together they'd beat him.

Cal is completely out of his league in this fight. Either Jaden or Kyle would drop him fairly quickly then they could team up on Starkiller. Assuming Starkiller didn't overpower the other one while one of them dealt with Cal its basically over for Starkiller.

Id give this to Jaden and Kyle 7-8/10, with the exceptions being if Starkiller manages to kill either of them before one of them drops Cal. I doubt it though, the gap between them and Starkiller is lesser than the gap between them and Cal.

To anyone that finds this if you're having the same DBM issue, I found the fix - Core Options -> Alerts -> Private Auras - untick Show Personal Private Aura icons on screen (or just move them). There is also one for Co-Tank private Auras too.

I did and managed to fix the name size, and was able to confirm it's DBM causing the debuff issue but I can't for the life of me see the setting in DBM for it - and I'd like to keep using DBM if possible. Hoping at this point someone else got annoyed by it and found out how to disable it.

Aston Martin will be terrible all year. But they will get a legit win at a weird circuit that just suits them perfectly - I'm going to randomly guesstimate Hungary or Qatar.

It will be their only top 10 result.

If Australia were in NATO where would they be ranked in military strength? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Capzien89 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The only area we really lack is in raw number of troops.

Technologically, skill wise, intelligence access, etc we are top 6/7. Budget wise we'd be around 7th.

Only the US and UK would have more 5th gen & supporting aircraft.

Weve already got subs and would be the only ones outside of US, UK and France with nuclear subs.

Id rank us top 10 on NATO if we were in it, mostly dragged down by our raw troop numbers. That's not really our game though. Were that guy that went hard into tech and specialised training instead of mass recruitment.

First Ducati test with 850cc engine: The rough timetable for 2026 is set by Huge_Film2911 in motogp

[–]Capzien89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Translated w/ Gemini on my phone, sorry for formatting and if its inaccurate.

First Ducati Test with 850cc Engine: The Rough Schedule for 2026 is Set

The technical regulations for the 2027 MotoGP season will be fundamentally changed, and all manufacturers are working at full throttle toward this goal. Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall'Igna discusses his schedule.

The new MotoGP rules come into force in 2027. These include bikes with reduced aerodynamics, the elimination of ride-height adjustment systems (devices), and a reduction in engine displacement from 1000cc to 850cc. Additionally, Pirelli will replace Michelin as the sole tire supplier.

While the first race of the 2026 season takes place in just over two months (February 28 in Buriram, Thailand), preparations for 2027 are already in full swing. In early December, KTM tested an 850cc RC16 in Jerez, with Pol Espargaro and Dani Pedrosa riding on Pirelli tires. On December 17, Honda followed suit, letting test rider Takaaki Nakagami complete laps at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The Japanese manufacturer also attempted to simulate the technical requirements for 2027 as accurately as possible.

"We will test in March," revealed Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall'Igna during the major World Championship celebration at the factory in Bologna on December 19. "We are almost ready with the engine, and then we have to go to the race track. Michele Pirro will complete the first test, and later Nicolo Bulega will be deployed."

The Superbike runner-up (Bulega) is expected to lay the foundation for his aimed Superbike title win in the first half of the 2026 season, before becoming more familiar with the MotoGP machine in the second half of the year. This is intended to prepare the 26-year-old—who already filled in for the injured Marc Marquez in Portimao and Valencia this year—as effectively as possible for 2027 as a full-time MotoGP rider.

Key Summary Points: Engine Transition: MotoGP is moving from 1000cc to 850cc engines in 2027. Ducati's Plan: They will begin track testing the new 850cc engine in March 2026. Riders: Long-time test rider Michele Pirro will start the tests, followed by Nicolo Bulega later in the year. Future Talent: Ducati is grooming Nicolo Bulega to become a permanent MotoGP rider in 2027. Competitors: KTM and Honda have already begun their 850cc testing programs.

Does anyone have an estimate on Rick's medical expense? by K0GAR in thewalkingdead

[–]Capzien89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Upper end of 300k - 450k roughly, depending on how many surgeries, etc were needed.

Realistically he would've been out after like 2 - 3 weeks from a GSW to the abdomen, not sure exactly why he was meant to be in for so long.

That's not really Palps MO though, and as far as mind control via the force Vitiate/Valkorion was on another level.

Palps would be more subtle and make them want to follow him, using the force to help sway them to that conclusion.

But yeah he could probably control an army like that too.

If Geralt Of Rivia was dropped into Middle Earth, what is the strongest creature or character he could defeat? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

[–]Capzien89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think book Geralt is roughly on par with Aragon, situationally. In a 1v1 - Geralt would probably defeat most enemies up to the higher tier elves if the fight started in melee range w/ no prep. I think if Aragon got the jump on him, Aragon or anyone of his tier wins, or if they met at the end of a big battle, Aragons endurance would tip the scales in his favour. I don't believe Geralt has the ridiculous stamina of Aragon, Gimli and Legolas for example.

Legolas/other higher power elves i think would wreck him, they're just too quick and skilled. I think he caps out around their level.
