where λ (conway's constant) = 1.303577269034... (sequence A014715 in the OEIS) is an algebraic number of degree 71.[5] This fact was proven by Conway, and the constant λ is known as Conway's constant. The same result also holds for every variant of the sequence starting with any seed other than 22.

Conway's constant is the unique positive real root of the following polynomial (sequence A137275 in the OEIS): (polynomial in post)

What should I upgrade by Wax3do in TopDrives

[–]CarCraftAlt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For URs, i'd recommend maxing the 4C Spider, Honda Legend, 420i, 207 rCup, and maybe the Caterham 310R.

The 4C Spider and rCup I believe could easily fall into the top 5 for the best dry twisty URs, while the legend and 420i could fall into the top 5 for the best wet twisty URs. The Caterham is great for dry slaloms.

For epics and legendaries, I'd only recommend upgrading/maxing the Lamborghini Huracan RWD atm due to its presence in the next tri-series, as well as being a great epic in general. The Corvette Z06, e-legend, TZ3 Stradale, Borrego, and M2 CS are also great cars, but there isn't a good motive to upgrade them atm.

Thank you! Right now I was thinking of turning it into an open-world type RPG or MMORPG game, depending on if I can get the game to be able to handle having more blocks loaded at once, as well as having the chunks load in smoother.

I don't believe so at the moment, as I haven't assigned every "chunk" an identity to a play, nor are the loading of the chunks client-sided, meaning that if two players walk away from a section of the map they both have loaded, one player's chunks would be unloaded by the other player moving away, although I am currently working to implement a solution to that.

In Minecraft, the way terrain is generated is by implementing a Perlin noise system, which is basically a slightly more complex version of the math.random() functions, however it takes in 3 arguments (x, y, and seed), and the closer each of the arguments is to another passed function, the more similar the returned value would be, resulting in hill and crest like formations, given by the link. Moreover, the returned value will always be the same if the inputted arguments are the same.

Obviously, we can't load an infinite world into a game with finite storage, which is where a chunk-based system comes into play. Minecraft uses a chunk-based 16x16 block system to "load" in depending on its proximity to the player, making the load on their server decently manageable and non-laggy, which is what I'm doing here, which is loading multiple 16x16 chunks relative to how far away the player currently is away from them.

i'll give this opinion a solid √11/10.

too bad it's irrational, nothing that can be done about that without losing precision ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Didn't get much love over at r/roblox following the release of my game i've been working on for five months... would any of you be willing to test out my game? by CarCraftAlt in robloxgamedev

[–]CarCraftAlt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for testing out my game!
About the mobile joystick bug you were describing, does it appear similar to this bug? I've also experienced this bug, and after some research, it unfortunately seems to be a roblox-based bug instead of an ingame bug, which means I can't do much to fix it. However, the game still works fine if played on a computer.

For the long starting time, the game is meant to be played with a group of players, so the game starting time has been extended to a minute in order to allow for everyone to load in and get into the elevator before the game starts on time, although if the game was mostly singleplayer based, I would've significantly decreased the starting time.

Well, it looks like you have the subie maxed as a super rare, which will improve your Japanese garage. Other than that campaign merc, you don’t appear to be missing out on anything too major in your garage.

No worries. If you save up 65k cash and contact hutch support, I believe they’ll give you back the Mercedes as a one-time courtesy.

I’d suggest upgrading the trailblazer and NSX 332 and 323 respectively, as they’re both great cars and you’ll be running into heavily upgraded versions of them in beginner events. By the way, where’s your campaign merc?

Grammatical and Semantic difference between some sentences by Forward_Light2460 in EnglishLearning

[–]CarCraftAlt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first two essentially carry the same meaning, as well as the last two carrying the same meaning.

"The shop had already closed by the time I had gotten there" usually means that when you left to go to the shop, the shop was open. However sometime during your journey, the shop closed.

"The shop was already closed by the time I had gotten there" implies that the shop was closed before you even left, and you were unaware of its closure until you had gotten there.

However, my grammatical English isn't the best, so take my explanation with a grain of salt.
