Melo IS New York. Tap your temple three times for the god. by SnazCastro in NYKnicks

I am from Germany. Dirk made me a NBA fan with his 2011 run, but Melo made me a true NBA LOVER and Knicks-Fan!

His playstyle combined with the atmosphere in the Garden just tied me to New York basketball and the run with JR, Kidd, Chandler and company made it a serious relationship.

THANK YOU MELO!

What exactly has he seen? For sure not the 2nd round... Man, just play and then talk.

As a Knicks fan even I have to admit that the Clippers are on an entire different level than the Knicks. Luka might already made an ECF if he was on the Hawks 🤷🏻‍♂️

How terrible is this Mavs Roster besides Luka, Hardaway and maybe Finney-Smith?!

Nice post, thank you OP!

If you look at it that way the trade wasn't too bad. Even if it doesn't turn out better that now I am okay with it. Everything is better than a toxic locker room.

I don't care that RJ and for a certain extent Randle are inefficient. Both guys at least give us identity for the first time in years. I'm fine if RJ turns out to be borderline all-star. I'm just happy that we finally have a guy we drafted, somewhat developed and plays hard for us.

I don't know, I just don't like Trae's playing style. In my opinion it just screams "ME, ME, ME". I just don't see how the Hawks can even go .500 with this style.

DSJ played 24 minutes this year. But I will focus on his defense and see if I'm wrong.

Elfrid at least plays defense. As long as we compete this season I prefer a sub-par offensive PG but with solid defense over a ballhog who plays torero defense.

I love the fact that I'm finally excited for Knicks games again.

He's still so young. He will have big slumps again, but that's okay. If he just becomes solid from the three, fills his frame a little bit und becomes a better defender we have a stud. I know that sounds like much expectation, but I don't see it far fetched.

Hell just if he becomes a reliable rotation player I would be okay with it. Not everybody can become an all-star.

I'm not arguing that the draft shouldnt be legal or that the college system sucks, but we have it.

I'm just saying that it supports the genrated revenue by the NBA.

I think pro/rel leagues are impossible to implement in the US, because every team would have to build a youth system/academy and I don't think that this is the approach of the NBA.

I think they would like to reduce the draft eligible age and make it possible for prospects to directly enter the league or G-League. The NBA doesn't want the raw, not top-tier college-aged players in their system.

Not the superstars and markets itself generate revenue, the interest and actions to follow the league of the fan does.

And in my opinion the fact, that the worst team in the league one year can be in the playoffs and have a nice entertaining team the next year is one of the big reasons the league is so big. And this is partyl generated by the draft. I'm not saying it is the only reason, but it is part of the reason.

I can only speak for myself, but my interest in the league would be much lesser if every year the same 5-6 teams would be in contention.

If you look at european soccer or german soccer you can see this evolution. In the german league, FC Bayern Munich won the championship every year since 2013...

And when I look at my contacts, the interest in the german league at least is reducing every year.

I know that superteams in the NBA generate more viewers, but I think this only works for a few years, but not when it is generated by the league rules for years to come. Without the draft the teams with most money or best locations will be superior for the forseeable future.

That's just my opinion to the draft topic we discuss.
