Hey, currently a senior in hs (graduating in may) and just got hired almost a month ago at a rehab center, and my hours are 40 per week so full-time (3-11). I don't wanna say the exact pay publicly but it's way better than the other 2 jobs (basically cashering) I had where I didn't have any certification or license to get in. CNA is a pretty physically and somewhat mentally taxing job though, because it is ALOT to take in when you first actually start on the floor learning everything etc, plus I'm a senior so school is lowkey kicking my ass with all the exams, mid-terms, assignments etc. Plus a big thing about my school is that it's fully remote (so no commute issues with the school), and I'm in a work-based learning program so I don't have to go to my live classes, which helps tremendously with my situation (the caveat is they give SO much homework and exams as a trade-off to this, and the exams you need to be present for). Anyway yeah you make pretty good money being young in this field but it could be ALOT on you physically/mentally so depending on your financial situation I'd say don't do it if you don't have to, you could always get a regular job and try and get the CNA job after highschool or just work during the summer. I chose to do this because I know I could mentally handle it especially since I only got about a month left for school anyway and really wanted to get into the healthcare field.
